Here is chapter 16. Thank you all for your comments and likes.

Chapter 16

As: "I am sure you will because Zoya believes so. Please give me a chance so that I can explain what happened between me and Mehak.Atleast listen to me for once and then you can decide who is wrong and who is not."

Ha: " I do not want to know what you have to tell. I am really not interested in your explanation and your story."

As: " Haider, please give me atleast one chance to explain , at least for Zoya's sake"

Ha : "Asad it is true that I love my chutki so much and I can do anything for her happiness,but..."

Before Haider could complete, Zeenat panickly came out of the room.

Ze: "Asad, Haider Zoya is not well.Her nose has started bleeding again.I am going to call doctor"

As soon as Zeenat moved out of the room, Asad and Haider rushed into the room. Asad went near Zoya and he called her.

"Zoya, Zoya wake up. Pleaese open your eyes" He said caressing her cheeks. Tears were flowing from his eyes."

Haider moved to the other side of Zoya's bed and wiped off the blood from Zoya's nose. He looked towards his chutki and also Asad who was sitting next to his sister and crying.

Just then doctor came inside and examined Zoya. She asked the nurse to give an injection to her and said: "There is nothing serious to worry about. She is stable.It takes time for her to recover completely. Give her some time she will be fine soon.There is no need to panic. I have given her medication, so she may be in sedation for a few hours.If there is any problem, you can call me."

Asad was so much lost in Zoya that he didn't even listen to what doctor was telling.His eyes had fresh tears.As soon as the doctor left, Zeenat went near Asad: "Beta, she is fine. Don't worry."

Asad looked towards Zeenat and she nodded her head in affirmation.Haider was looking towards Asad.

Juat then the nurse came inside and told: "The visiting hours are over. So only one bystander is allowed inside the room. Others can either leave or sit in waiting area."

Ha: "Ammi, you stay with Zoya."

Ze: "Asad beta don't worry. I will call you once she gets conscious. Or else if you want you can stay here."

As: "No aunty.Its ok. Please let me know when she is conscious. I will wait outside."

Asad left the room. Haider also followed him. They moved to the waiting area. On the way he got a call from Dilshad asking when he would come home. He replied that he will come only after Zoya gets conscious. He went near the window of the waiting room and stood there looking into the dark sky.He was lost in Zoya's thoughts. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned back to see Haider standing there with two cups of coffee. He offered one cup to Asad. Asad took the coffee from Haider.

As: " Thanks."

Ha: "No formalities please. There are no formalities between me and chutki. So I would want the same between me and her husband also. "

Initially Asad did not understand what Haider was trying to say but then realisation dawned on him. Asad was shocked to the core.

As: " But."

He couldn't complete it before that haider interrupted in between.

Ha: " I know Asad, both of you are in love. I understand my chutki even if she doesn't say anything. I can read from her eyes that she loves you and want you around all the time. I can see the happiness in her eyes when you are with her and the sadness when you are not there. Even my or my parents presence don't bring happiness and relief that she gets when you are around.It is so clear from her behaviour that she cannot live without you. I really don't understand how you both got so much attached in such a short period because I am sure that she never had any such feeling before we left her here. And it is not that I did not see your love for her. But my insecurities did not want to see that. I had made a picture of your character in my mind and I didn't want to look beyond that. I was confused. I could see your love for her but still my brain would not let me accept the fact.It always made me think that you will be taking advantage of chutki because of what I have heard about you from Mehak. I could never think that my best friend whom I have known for years could ever lie to me. I was indeed confused, as what to believe and what not to.When I came to know from ammi that how concerned you were for chutki, how you took care of her, I was more confused. I realised that nobody else can be a better life partner than you for my chutki. Though my heart accepted you as my chutki's life partner still my brain wanted to be sure. I wanted to be sure that you are not a bad person at heart. So I called Ruksar. She is a common friend of Mehak and me. She is also married now. After marriage, I am hardly in touch with Mehak.But Ruksar calls me once in a while. Her husband is also my friend.I briefed her what has been happening lately and she said the truth that it was Mehak who was guilty in the entire scenario and not you. She has left you for money and status and in order to prove that she was innocent, she shamelessly cooked up the story in front of her friends circle. I could never imagine in my life that the girl whom has been my best friend for so many years would stoop down to such a level to prove her innocent. And because of which my chutki could have lost the most precious person in her life. I am so sorry Asad that I behaved so rudely with you. I shouldn't have made an opininon about you before knowing the entire truth. I am really very sorry.Please forgive me."

As: "Haider I just want to make you remind what you told me a while back that there needn't be any formalities. So there is no need of sorry. I am really happy that your misunderstandings are cleared. Zoya would be really happy. She was really worried about whether her family would accept our relation or not."

Ha: " So you guys are moving in an express speed. So confession is over and now marriage plans on the way, Great. I am really very happy for both of you"

With that Haider hugged Asad and he reciprocated it back.

As: " But what about your parents ? Will they be ready to accept the relation? "

Ha: "They have..."

Before he could complete, Zeenat came and informed them that Zoya was conscious

As: "So soon? Is she fine? "

Ze: "Please stop panicking, she is fine. Why do you go and see her. I will wait here."

As: "What about Haider?"

Ha: "It's ok. You go and see her. I will meet her later.Anyway I need to go. I have to meet a client of mine. It is urgent. Since abbu is not well, I will have to go to meet him.I know it is very late but still I need to go. He is going out of town tomorrow morning for a few weeks. I have earlier informed him about chutki, so he had asked me to come whenever possible.So Ammi I am leaving. Dont forget to eat something. Call me if there is any urgency. I will come in the morning."

Haider left from there. Asad went to Zoya's room. He went inside, sat by her side and caressed her hair

As: " How are you feeling? You scared me."

Zoya wanted to get up. So Asad helped her. She got up and rested her head on to the side of the bed.

Zo: " I am fine Asad. Even the doctor told na, it will take time to recover. Then why do you get panicked? Nothing will happen to me. I will be with you always. I will never leave you alone. Its my promise."

Zoya wiped off his tears. Asad sat on her bed near to her, cupped her face with his hands

As:" I can't live without you and I mean it. And how do you expect me to be calm when you are not well. So if you want me to be calm, get well soon. "

Zo: " Asad, do you what is the time now.It is very late. You go home and take rest. Though I want to be with you, I can't be so selfish that it starts affecting your health also. Moreover tomorrow is Monday, you have to go to office also.It has been a week that you have not been to office."

It was then Asad realised that he had office the next day and that he has so many meetings scheduled for the day and he hasn't made any preparations. He thought of cancelling all his meetings and take a day off.

Zo: " Don't even think of that Asad,"

Asad looked towards Zoya with a puzzled face

Zo: " I know you are planning to cancel your meetings and take a day off. Don't even think of that. I know you have two very important meetings tomorrow."

As: " But Zoya, nothing is more important than you. I want to be with you."

Zo: " You are with me Asad, always. Asad I want to be your strength not your weakness. So No more arguing, you are leaving now. Take proper rest and go to office tomorrow. We will meet in the evening when you are free. "

Asad wanted to tell Zoya about Haider's reaction but he decided that he will tell her the next day as she also needed rest.

Asad moved towards Zoya, caressed her hair and kissed her on her forehead.

As: " Take care. I love you."

Zo: " Love you too, Asad"

Asad left the hospital after meeting Zeenat.

After Asad had left, Zeenat started feeding soup to Zoya. Zoya was silent as she was thinking about how she would tell her mother that she had broken the promise she had made to her. And that she had fell in love with a person whom her brother hates. She was wondering how everything was going to be fine. She cannot hurt her family and on the other hand she can't loose her Asad at any cost.

Seeing Zoya upset, Zeenat asked her : "Beta, what happened ? not feeling well or worried about something?"

Zo: "Nothing ammi."

Ze: " Thinking about Asad? Missing him?"

Zoya looked at Zeenat trying to hide the shock.

Zo: " Not exactly ammi. "

Ze: " Then you are worried about something. Tell your ammi Zoya, you have always shared everything with me. Tell me what is it that is bothering you?"

Zo: " Ammi, I ..."

Zoya stammered and she couldn't complete before that she started crying.

Ze:" Beta what happened, Please don't cry. You are scaring me. Ssshh stop crying."

Zeenat tried to console her

Ze:" beta don't strain yourself. You are still not completely fine. "

Zoya said controlling her tears: "Ammi. I need to tell you something important."

Ze: " If you want to tell me about you and Asad, then there is no need to worry. I don't have any problem with your relation if both of you are planning to get married soon. I never had a problem with you selecting your life partner. It is just that I never wanted my daughter to wander about here and there with any guy without any commitment.That is all. And as any mother I am also concerned about my daughter's future. But with Asad and his family, I am not worried any more. Even if I try to find a life partner for you also, I will not be able to find a person like him. He loves you so much and it is evident from his behaviour. And I have realised your love also Zoya. Zoya was overwhelmed with happiness, She hugged Zeenat

Zo: "Ammi, thank you, thank you so much.Siince childhood you have always given me everything even before i ask for it. And now you have given me the most precious one also even before I ask for it. I love you ammi and I am sorry if I have hurt you in any manner."

Ze: " No beta, you don't need to be sorry. It is true that I was shocked seeing both your behaviour but gradually I realised that you both love each other so much. But I was not sure whether you both have confessed to each other. But then Asad's mother told me that he had told his family about you and has not confessed his feelings to you. Did Asad confess his feelings?"

Zo: " Yes ammi, he told me today that he loves me and that he wants to marry me. But when did you meet his ammi?"

Ze: " She came here today to see you. You were sleeping, so you couldn't meet her."

Zo: " Ammi, please tell me are you really happy or is it that you are saying it because I am ill and you don't want to hurt me."

Ze: " No beta. I am really very happy about this."

Zo:" But Abbu and bhaijaan. Ammi there is something about Asad's past which I would like to tell to you before you ..."
