chapter 14
It was almost a week to the incident and asya had become even more distanced from each other.asad had started to stay aloof and cold.he never initiated conversations with zoya as he used to do before,he stopped being close to zoya,arriving late at night and leaving home early on pretense of work had become his routine.zoya was very sad and depressed with this change in asad.she missed his caring side,his perfectionist attitude,his presence on dining table,her morning drooling sessions.she talked less and seemed lost.all her friends noticed it.she dint even argue with ayaan when he took her order from canteen making ayaan too sad seein the gloomy zoya.to cheer her up dey thought of going to Salman khane movie but zoya was lost even.seein her favriote hero apparently did nothing to cheer her up.all she could do was compare asad to Salman khan and finally decided tat her husband was far more handsome than sallu.
Zoya tried acting cheerful so that her friends don't feel bad but she was missing her husband and the longing was,makin her crave for asad's love and attention.and the way he touched her,pleasured her was still fresh in her mind.whenever she used to see couples of her colg romance she used to feel that sweet ache in her stomach.but alas she dint knew how to show her desires,whether her feelings were right or not ? She dint understand.even asiya noticed the aloofness of zoya but zoya dint feel like sharing these feelings with anyone hence she denied sayin she was stressed with upcoming tests,which dint satisfy asiya but she dint force zoya to say anything.
Dilshad had clearly seen the distances,the unspoken words,hidden feelings,asad's cold demeanour and zoya's restlessness and even after one week when her son and dil dint make any move she thought its time to stepin and help her son and daughter in law relationship otherwise these both would ruin it completely.
Asad was sitting on sofa drinking his bitter coffee,again to avoid any talk with zoya asad had started with work.it was almost one and dilshad who came to drink water was surprised seein asad awake.it was time to talk to asad thought dilshad.
Dilshad:asad tum abtak jaag rahe ho .1 bah raha hain beta aisa bhi kya Kaam Jo chain aur neend cheenle.
Asad:nahi ammi woh Kaam zyada tha isiliye varna main itna kahan jagta hoon said asad looking down as he would never lie seeing his mothers face.
Dilshad sat down near asad:jab jhoot bolna nahi aata toh bolte kyun ho asad?
Asad(fumbling):na..nah..nahi.. ammi.
Dilshad:nikhat jhoot bolne ke zarurat nahi hain asad kyunki ek maa se uskey bacchon ki tadap aur takleef nahi chupti.kya tum kya lagta hain ki Maine tumhari aur zoya ke beech ki dooriyan nahi dekhi.mai chup isiliye the kyunki mujhe laga tum dono aapas mein sab suljhaloge magar yahan toh tum dono ek dusre se baath bhi nahi kartey.aise mein tumhara rishta aage kaisa badega asad..?
Asad(defeatedly):ammi Maine koshish ki magar mujhe lagta hain zoya abtak is rishtey ko qobool nahi kar paayi hain.isiliye mai usse aur waqt Dena chahti hoon.
Dilshad:asad jantey ho ek rishta tutne ki sabse badi wajah kya hoti hain ??yeh mujhe lagta hain sentence hota hain na tabi ek rishte ko khokla bana deta hain.jab hum apne nazariye se hamare rishton ko dekhne lagte hain aur dusre ka nazariya nahi samajhtey tab rishton mein darar padti hain kyunki hum apne assumptiona par faisle lete hain aur assumptions bahut khatarnaak hotey hain asad utna hi jitna aadha sach hota hain.tumne yeh samajh liya ki zoya ne ISS rishtey ko nahi apnaya agar nahi apnaya hota toh kya woh mujhe aur najma ko apna pati.kya tumare favriote dishes banane ke liye itni mehnat karti,pichle ek hafte se tumare liye dinner par intezaar karti ,kya woh itni udaas aur khoyi rehti tumhare ignorance se nahi beta yeh sab batein yahi saabit karti hain ke usne tume aur hame ISS ghar ko poori dil sw apnaya hain.
Asad was really shocked knowing zoya waited for him ,she missed him.hearing his ammi he was confused if zoya really accepted him then y did she push him tat day and y was she soo upset with their Proximity.
Dilshad:jantey ho asad jab mera nikah huwa tha mai toh tumare abbu ke saamne nazar uthane se darti.woh galti se mujhe choo te toh mai bokhla jaati thi.kyunki ek ladki ke liye yeh sab asaan nahi hota khaas kar aise ladkiyon ke liye Jo strict environment mein palti hain tameez aur tehzeeb unhe bachpan se sikhayi jaati hain aur uske daayre(boundries)todkar ek ajnabee jaise mard ke kareeb jaana bahut mushkil hota hain beta.aur zoya toh mentally is shadi ke liye prepared bhi nahi thi .I hope tum samajhogey beta.har rishta dheere dheere patla hain.ek hi din mein gulab nahi khilta.mujhe unwed hain ab tum apne rishtey ko ek alag nazariye ya yun kahoon zoya ke nazariye se dekho ge.Chalo jaake so jao ab bahut raat ho chuki hain.Allahhafiz
Asad couldn't even reply as he was lost in his mothers words she was right he never thought from zoya's perspective.her refusal that day was not becoz she had not accepted him but becoz she was nervous.maybe she was never exposed to intimacy and his passion tat dat had scared her as she experienced somethin absolutely new.he remembers zoya's words on dining table tat day aftr marriage she couldn't understand the embarrassment her words caused becoz she was practically naive about intimacy.oh God asad felt like a fool but he was happy realizing his wife had not rejected him but she was merely naive and confused.he would now take this relationship slowly and dey would have the most beautiful married life he promised himself.
Entering the room he saw zoya sleeping peacefully like an angel but dey were dried tears and asad felt extremely guilty he promised to never make zoya cry and kissed her forehead and laid down next to her taking her in his arms eventually drowning in a dream world..
