So well written! 😊 Love how you used inspiration from a short story ...the suicide part was a shocker though.. when I read that part, I was like huh am I thinking right?

Hey that was beautifully written. I love O' Henry stories, not much of a reader but remember reading some in school time including this one.

If I have to choose...I'd have to go with the original ending. Only because not many can write sad. And get away with it. But you miss! You gave us an alternative. That's why I like the first ending more. I could appreciate his loss more because of the alternate ending. Get it get it?
