Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on.

Remember how you were sixteen, and you thought you'd have a fairy tale ending with a certain prince charming swooping you up on a white horse and leading you to an unknown place where you're loved by everyone and everyone loves you?
So what happened to that? One would ask.
I grew up, would be the honest reply.
Now you're twenty four years old, and you've seen enough in life to know that everyone has a baggage of their own. Everyone carries or has something or the other that makes them less than perfect. So your dreams of prince charming have faded away.
But what if I tell you that there's still a possibility of prince charming? What if I told you that fairy tales have got it all wrong. Prince charming is not someone who is perfect, without any scar, any sign of battle showing, either in his eyes or on his body. Because let's face it, what sort of a prince would he be if he sat behind his daddy's throne and didn't fight a single battle along with his warriors? Puny prince!
A prince is one who fights with all his might. He will stand up, even if the world crushes him down. He won't give up, as long as there's life for him, he'll fight for his people, he'll fight for his loved ones. He'll be battered, he'll be bruised but he'll still put that sword up to defend his kingdom as long as he lives. Sound more like a prince? And then of course, he'll be given the throne of the King.
So who is a prince? The ones in those fairytales which describe them as the most handsomest beings on earth? Or is a prince the one who has his fair share of vices, flaws and makes enough mistakes but still loves you unconditionally? The one who would be ready to fight the world for you and not hide behind his Parent's thrones?
Interesting question. The moment you overlook those errors in him, where his scars and bruises seem like badges and you accept his baggage as your own, you realise you love him. The real kind.
What's with the lecture? One may question sourly.

Hah, just kidding! I'm Zoya Farooqi. And I'm here to tell you about my story. Yes, it does include a Prince Charming, a flawed, faulty, damaged prince. But a prince nonetheless. My prince. So how did I meet him? What kind of baggage did he carry? What were his faults? You'll just have to read further to find out. And I hope you do. My story is a little quirky, a little romantic, a little angsty, but a love story all the same. And I know you're all suckers for romantic stuff. So sit back, and enjoy the show.
