Yes, Zoya is a snob, manipulative, thinks too high of herself and many such things. All of this is part of her. Asad knows that and does try to correct her, doesn't succeed much and yet can't stop caring for her. Some best friend, nahi? 😳
Zoya has everything in the world. She has no care about money and she is not very serious, so she doesn't consider a job seriously. Also, this photographer job is assignment based. Once work is done, move on.
Tanveer doesn't have much opinion of herself. She grew up in a small town, in a small, confined world. It is kind of revolutionary on its own that her father sent her to a big city like Kanpur for college. And, now being friends with someone like Zoya is overwhelming for her. As Asad said in the last chapter, she puts Zoya on a high pedestal and in her mind if Zoya says something, it has to be right. She is going to suffer.
