OMG u r sooo soo right .. I will always love Asya v1 .. And I will always look for that couple in every version of Asya ..

Asad v2 was not the best but still cute and I loved seeing Asad .. I just felt if they concentrated more on this version of Asya properly it would have been better Bcoz AsYa v2 was mainly a side show since august !

Now AsYa v3 .. Def has that sexy factor and while I don't love them they r better than asya v2. But I will always hope that AsYa v1 re appears

And Raqesh is doing a good job .. Getting better everyday .. He needs to work on a few things especially dialogue .. That's just my thoughts

Cheers

Amazing post Green!
I couldn't agree more.
The character Asad was truly Asad for me till mid June episodes, that is, before the much hyped 'Ajmer Track'.
Then came Asad V2, who was less Akdu and more mushy. I mean, very mushy for my liking!
There was romance, but the passion was missing.
Scenes became repetitive. The hairstyle was an influential factor too! SMH.

Things got worse after the ZoYaan track, because after Asad V2 brought Zoya home, he became Asad V2.5 .
Too much for me to handle!
Then we started getting very less of him and more of HB craziness.

Asad V3 is a breath of fresh air - new emotions, new hairdo, new dialogue delivery style and the list goes on.
I admit I do miss the Asad V1/V2/V2.5's 'ZOYA!'
I am still accustomed to it. So it feels funny when Asad V3 says it.
But he indeed is good and delivers passionate romantic scenes, I may add.

..and has a VERY charming smile! ☺️
So the conclusion is, with the gripping storytelling, fabulous acting and direction, I'm hooked again!

I thought I was the only one who was thinking this way but you did too 😃
Asad V1 was the best - V2 had less impact.

This was a much needed post, for me, at least because it did put alot of things in proper perspective and I realised that I totally agree with you..

You know, for so long, even after A3 came on board - I felt conflicted because I felt that this Asad was so different, so so different... Sometimes when I watch him, I'ld be like " No, Asad would'nt do that" or "This isn't it- Asad shouldn't be doing this" but I have come to a realisation that A3 is probably doing what Asad is suppose to do right now at this phase of time. You know how sometimes different perspective that you read may cause you to alter your opinons differently and I struggled with acceptance for the charecteristic potrayed by A3 as Asad.. But now, going forward, when I see A3 onscreen - I'll probably be able to understand why he does certain things the way he does probably because the relationship he has with each one has matured due to fighting life experiences face on and not shying away from them..
A1 was brillant! A2 - I wouldn't comment because I was watching for AsYa and A3 is probably getting it right. :)
I love how the story is moving right now and everything seems to be falling in place perfectly.
Thanks again! I'm not sure if I made sense though! :))

Haha well always glad to put things into perspective then, and don't worry I totally understand, you made perfect sense (: Yeah Asad V3 is gonna take time to take, but we'll get there I guess. Missing V1 is inevitable but oh well, at least the story is moving like you said (:

Hey Green... Superb post!!!

When I started watching QH for Zoya's character though I knew actor playing Asad V1. Within span of 3-4 episodes I was fan of their noke-zoke . Even that time story was fast paced and gripping. All the tracks like Mangalpur, Dilshaad being shot to BNHH were superbly placed, shot and directed.

Then came the airport engagement and ASYA started witht heir superb chemistry... those falls, eye locks were mind blowing. We started getting addicted to it...

This where we and the makers went wrong... The serial which we were watching for story suddenly we started watching for ASYA. A family drama became a love story. Sorry a Clichd love story.

All become boring after Ajmer Track. All the wish-list drama was cheesy and boring. Few scenes here and there were good but overall story didn't move a bit. Epic Zoyaan was introduced to make the story move forward but the addiction is not easy to let go... So we protested for our ASYA to come back and finally makers bowed down to give it back to us. During this time Asad V1 when became Asad V2 we didn't even realised.

An OCD Asad became less concerned about his hair, always formally dressed started wearing jackets and T-Shirts. Intensity from his eyes started becoming less effective. It almost felt he was sleep walking through the scenes. We loved him then also cos we loved the character a little too much.

Suddenly one day we wake up to see now we have Asad V3. Initial shock of loosing the charisma of the character was major deterrent for people to think Asad cannot be played by anyone else. But I must admit Asad V3 is doing a superb job! He has understood the character in the shortest time span. His smile, his irritation, anger has its own flavour and much needed change.

Most importantly story is moving in right direction. Every team member is putting more efforts to make sure no one falls short of delivering the best.

I loved Asad V1... I sat throught Asad V2 cos I wanted back my Asad V1 and I am liking Asad V3 cos he is putting a lot of effort to make us love him

We loved... We lost.. and we may love again... That's the way life is...

Sorry for a long post.. but wanted to pen it down for a long time :)

I liked the way you divided between V1 & V2. 😆
And I absolutely agree with you about the first two parts. I guess with V3 AsYa got a fresh life, a fresh approach. Yes it took time 4 us to adjust with the V3 but we did adjust quite quick.
Yes the V1 will be dearly missed, but then I am not thinking much about it. Because I am already liking this V3 & I am already loving this AsYa. The fact that we have accepted him within 3 weeks itself says a lot. Hopefully it will get better! I love the smile of this V3. 😆
And yeah I cant wait 4 the next episode too! 😃

Haha because there really is a stark contrast between V1 and V2! At least in my head. Yeah, while V1 is definitely missed, I think I've begun to accept it, V3 is not bad after all (:

I totally agree! I knew there was something off about the way I felt about AsYa during the V2 phase and here you have all my answers 😆 the problem for me was that I went on a vacation during this V1-V2 change and so it never really made sense to me (I had missed moths of episodes and thought it would be easier to not watch the episodes I missed). and I think it wa that point on where QH started getting a bit boring for me. I mean I loved AsYa and still do, but with that I also liked their fights, teir way to make it up to each other, all without admitting that they loved each other. idk maybe it was the innocence? during V2 I was excited for a few days and then I started getting bored and now, although RaQesh is doing a fabulous job, no one could bring Asad V1 back

Hahaha well sort of. There was something off about V2 right? I swear it wasn't my imagination haha. And yes exactly!! I was excited about V2 after they'd gotten back together for like a few episodes? Then I felt bored, and I felt sad that I was bored ): But anyway, V1 may not come back, but V3's not bad either (:

I felt exactly the same.

Asad V1 was phenomenal and very well developed by CVs and exceptionally portrayed by the actor but some where down the line that Asad V1 got lost and no doubt it is more than just hair. In the 3rd quarter of the year, even before the actor was replaced, I felt as if a different person was portraying Asad. Storytelling for sure went down the hill but there was more than story telling that went wrong with Asad and for which, we now have a name 'Asad V2'. I just didn't feel the connection anymore.

I had no expectations from Asad V3 based on the thought process that if the actor who brought Asad to life couldn't sustain the charm then how can a different actor do justice to the role. However, Asad V3 is growing on me and I am pleasantly surprised by Raquesh.

Asad V3 is not yet comparable to Asad V1 but 10 folds better than Asad V2. As story telling is getting better now, hopefully Asad V3 will explore his full potential.

Nevertheless, Asad V2 made it easy for me to accept the replacement and I started enjoying the QH again. Classic ASYA charm with Asad V1 holds a special place in my heart but ASYA with Asad V3 has its own charm.

Exactly, so much effort had been put into developing Asad's character, and then suddenly all of that development seem to have disappeared in V2, and it was such a disappointment to watch. And yes, I really didn't think having V3 would make a difference, but yes like you said, I was pleasantly surprised too, and I'm glad I gave it a chance (: Yes AsYa V3 has it's own charm, it doesn't even need to be compared with V1, V3 is in a completely different stage of their relationship (:
