So apparently, the TRP of our show QH is up (3.2 from 2.9 of last week). It's a happy news for everyone who love this show, but with the increase in TRP's once again our Forum is flooded with so much controversy and mudslinging.
What is the reason for the increase in TRP, despite all the controversies the show faced recently?.. I would say it's a combination of multiple factors.
1. End of BB: I had noticed that the decline in QH, TRP's coincided with the start of BB, even before tracks such as ZoYaan started. Infact I remember once telling a friend over here that, I don't think the CVs will start any meaningful track while BB is going on and the friend replied that BB doesn't have good TRPs so QH's TRP is not affected by BB..
But I always felt that QH TRP was very much affected by BB.. why am I saying this? Because I feel that the crowds who watch Indian television shows have changed so much over time, and those who contribute to the TRP of each show varies a lot.
And what I feel is that TRP of QH is mainly contributed by an urban, educated crowd; people who love to see something different and by people who love to see meaningful family relationships and this would also include a large group of school and college students who love mushy romance and good looking actors who portray that.
And the above mentioned kinds of groups are the ones who would watch reality shows like BB as well.. the so called TRP aunties' of the earlier days are not the crowd who would watch shows like BB and majority of them wouldn't watch shows like QH as well (they are the crowd who watch shows like ye rishta)... So in my opinion a large percentage of QH viewers did watch BB while it was on air and end of BB is one reason why TRP of QH is increasing now.
2.The second most important reason why TRP is increasing is the story and its execution: finally the CVs have buckled up and have started to unfold the story which we all have been waiting to see all these days
3.Change of Director: a good director executes the story and presents it well in a way viewers get hooked and it is showing now.
4. Publicity: publicity whichever kind always helps. Since October QH hardly had any segment and any publicity till Mohit entered the show and then now.
5. Hard work of all the actors and everyone involved with the show.
6. Introduction of a new character, Haidar which clicked with the audience and gave an edge to the overall story because of his past and his relationship with Zoya.
So these are various reasons why I believe that the TRP of QH has increased right now, after having a decline for few months.
But, the over all success of a show depends on a lot of other factors as well, which I am not going to go in to detail here.
Still, just one thing which I would like to highlight here is that, success of a show cannot be attributed to a single person or an actor. Unless the whole package is appealing, people will not stick to it.
And its time, various FAN groups learn to accept this hard truth.
I don't mind getting bashed for this, but I will point out an example. SI is an actress who I think has a fan following even greater than KSG. And Chanchal was a show so much hyped because of her, but the show flopped miserably and the channel was forced to close it. It shows that however much an actor has a fan following, without a great story and other factors like other great co actors and a good creative team at the helm, a show cannot be a success.
Today I have seen so many posts on this forum, some bashing an actress because of her tweet about TRP. Now as far as I know Ridhi is a nice sensible person and I doubt that she had tweeted that to show that her husband is the reason for QH's TRP increase. I think being in the industry herself she would know better than that, and that her husband was hardly there in last week's episodes.
And if by chance she meant it, then it is very foolish of her to do so, but still there is no reason to bash and mock her for it.
And here I would say that curiosity also sometimes helps. And if at all RaQesh contributed to TRP of last week, people must have watched the show to see how he fares. So RaQesh's fate depends on the TRP's of coming weeks.
And here again I would like to point out that, if TRPs of coming weeks increases, that does not also mean that RaQesh is the sole reason for it. That just would mean that RaQesh is doing justice to Asad and that he is contributing to the success of the show.. but nor his fans or his better half can claim that he is the sole reason for TRP increase.
So it's time that all the FAN groups, be it KSG, RaQesh, Mohit, Surbhi or even Alka Ji realize that their hero /heroine alone cannot make a show, a success and stop with all this hypocrisy and idiocratic thoughts and stop mocking others and passing snide remarks at other actors and fellow forum members and learn to respect others thoughts as well; and learn to be sensible and discuss things without abusing others and by using language in the way it is supposed to be used.
