In initial few months PH/Cvs gave the best dialogues and scenes to the most popular name of the serial to get their foothold among his fan base.
Its like, Made him do the things that his loyal fan likes him to do and they will stick to the show like glue further strengthening your position and giving you a strong loyal fan base
In short he was made to do everything that his fans wants him to do but once QH got a firm stronghold, others character also started to popup and getting limelights. Then we had that weird twist in name of maukkadar ka khel in which KSG was only doing rona -dhona and yarning for zoya. Actually Gul was intentionally sidelining Asad there.
She purposely did not want Asad's character too strong n powerful. She knew very well how much popular KSG was as an actor and she might have this underline fear what if, in case asad /ksg popularity would take over the show. Same thing had happened in her last venture and so this time she was playing safe. On the other hand to nullify any if and buts she was just desperate for ZoYaan to grow a fan base. Infact this 'Zoyaan' now seems to be a preconcieved plan by channel and the PH. They were pretty much sure that this track would fetch them TRPs and would also increase the longevity of show plus there could be a smooth transition when time would come but somewhere their plan failed big time.
