Her outburst itself was justified, but very wrongly timed. No matter what, most of the accusations Shireen made today (included they just walking in their house and trying to boss around, a home she built for 17 years...) were valid to quite an extent. If Dilshad had *thought* this out, then I must say none of the insults were a surprise. She should have known this was coming.

Thats why my post says 17 years too late... Everything was right but not the timing

I have to disagree here just a little, only person who wasn't late was Asad. Because not just now, but for the past 17 years he has stood by his mothers side and came to her defense. Every single time someone has said something, so he really wasn't late at all lol.

While I agree with the Dilshad stuff, I still believe what she did today was right, and her outburst was very much needed. I really don't see it as being too late though, I saw it more as a woman, who had just about enough of the insults. I think when Shireen brought up the "haqq" stuff, it got to her. It would get to any woman if you think about it. A woman, who is accusing you of destroying the home she built, and taking her right away from her, is the same woman who built her home destroying yours, and is the same woman who took away your right. That's the way I saw Dilshads outburst. Just a woman who was tired of being called a left woman or the other woman, and tired of being accused. I agree, this is the result of Dilshad's decision but at the same time, this has been going on way before that too. And I think that's what pushed her over the edge today.

But I have actually thought about that from the first episode, because I always knew/assumed her and Rashid were still married, considering it was a Muslim show, the assumption just automatically came to me,

But besides the point, I have always felt, she should have asked for her "haqq" 17 years ago when he left her. It was her right then. As his first wife, as his wife period. She had the right to march up to him in SM and ask for her and her children's right. No not even ask, but demand it. No it wouldn't have fixed the pain they went through or the taunts, but still saved them some suffering.

That is why even though Shalini's performance was perfect it did not leave me spellbound. The act and the content have to be in tandem for it to be a good episode .Asad was as usual a notch above the rest as he was saying all the correct things.

There is a parable in the Bible that teaches you never to look back or you will turn into a pillar of salt ! That holds true in life ...you need to put the past behind you and move on..jo beet gaya so beet gaya . Unfortunately QH is all about harping on the past .Zoya is consumed with the desire to uncover her past ,Dilshad is trying to undo a wrong done to her 17 yrs ago , Haider is again here to avenge his past and Farhan is upto tricks to find his past !

Asad is the only one with a positive outlook as he now wants to forget his unhappy past and move on ...he has strived hard to achieve success and having found his soul partner he wants to bury the past and move on.

Dilshad is not helping anyone by opening old wounds least of all herself and her children.She is undoing all the sacrifices already made and worst is her telling Asad ..meri kasam tum kuchh nahi bologe !! This is certainly not a reflection of a good mother as she demeans him and herself .

Contrast this with Asad's ..Main har vo suraj ko apni mutthi mein band karlunga jisse meri Ammi par anch aye.

What a son ! He does not deserve the ridicule they have been exposed to ...after 17 yrs ...of sacrifice and hard work ..to undo whatever he achieved !

What exactly did Dilshad want by her histrionics ?

I cannot relate to Dilshad in this track no matter how hard I try. I feel I should be on her side, but I just don't get this. 😕

You have put my sentiments in words today 🤗

I know what Dilshad did was right... that she's the one who was wronged... that what she did was due a long time back... And though I can empathize with her situation, I don't agree with her rationality or rather irrationality.

The damage that's done is way too fierce to mend like this. Time is a very big factor... had she fought for her rights and love and rights for her children 17 years back I would have applauded her and cheered for her self-preservation skills but 17 years down the line, the action lost its significance.

What she's doing is for her love but it absolutely wastes all that she's done and have stood for all this while. Asad's efforts to build a new life, a reputable stand is all being wasted for a man who was in a vegetative state today (literally) just like he was back then (metaphorically) All the abuses, social humiliation, disregard, taunts are not worth it at all. And Dilshad mentions Asad and Najma to be her pride and now she's throwing the same pride openly to the scavengers like Razia and Haseena Bi and Shireen!

Some mistakes can never be mended like what Rashid Ahmed Khan has done. To top it all he chose to invite a tornado to clear the debris of the storm!

Badi Bi is useless! Her upbringing had resulted in a man who has been so weak in morals and guts that he's reduced to be a puppet in the hands of the opportunists yet all she seeks when she ventures out is her comfort or her shenanigans and Kg-section tiffs with Razia.

And I don't understand why go and claim your rights in Siddiqui mansion? Rashid himself is living on their charity and now you guys adding up to stick with him? SM belongs to Siddiquis and forcefully invading someone's property without their consent is a criminal offence and breach of privacy. All in all not a right thing to do!

I agree you didn't deserve what came your way Dilshad, but does your son and his to be wife and your own pride deserve this humiliation on the daily basis for a man who has never stood by you? Can you even assure your son that once on his feet, your so called husband will defend you and save you from the allegations? The answer is No! I can bet had he been there yesterday when Haseena demeaned her, he would have been a poker-faced spectator who would later sit in his room whining away!
