Yesterday I thought Zoya was insensitive, and today it's Dilshad.

For Dilshad the pathetic spineless absent husband Rashid was more important to her than Asad..
But Asad loves his mother so much that he couldn't leave her.

Why is it that people in this show only remember Asad when they need him? Dilshad left him even though he said he needs her, and yet now that she needs him she turns to him for support, with all the 'my Asad won't leave me, he won't let me down..' lines. Wish he could say the same about her.

He came back for her, and yet now all she cares about is taking him to his father.. How insensitive. You left your son for that man, and yet you expect him to so easily forgive that man and care about him, when that same man abandoned him and didn't care about him at all.. Rashid did not care about Asad when he left him as a child, and he didn't care about Asad even when he became an adult, and that's clear to see as he not once asked Asad to move in.

Asad seems to be like the female leads of other shows, always sacrificing for others, always caring about others, always putting others before yourself, and always being let down by those that are meant to care about you..🥱

Great post...And I word everything you said...
I HATE every damn person of his life to this to him...When he needed his father, Rashid wasn't there...When he needed his brother, Ayaan wasn't there...Even though Asad has always done everything for Ayaan...when he needs Zoya, she won't stand next to him and support others and not him...But whenever she wants she can come and expect him to stand by her, support her and get her out of the trouble...

And more than anyone, Dilshaad does the samething with him...when he needs his mother's support, she left his side...when he needed her, she left him...I mean, every fight and everything happened in his life, he stood by himself and fought with everyone and had no one at his side...

No one from his family was standing by him when he was accused of sleeping with Bili...not even his mother, who has always claimed to knew her son and who knew that her son was in love with Zoya and wanted to marry her more than anything else...I mean, come on, why would he sleep with that Bili some hours before his Nikaah...?? If he wanted to do that, he would have done that way before...but everyone from his family thought so lil of him that they without hearing his part believed that he will do something like that without thinking about the woman he is getting married to...Dilshaad, even after staying her whole with him and even knowing how he fears doing something like that, believed that he has done something like that to the woman he loves and is getting married to...

He didn't have anyone at his side the both time he stood infront of Rashid...The first time his mother slapped him and this time she left him...

But still, no matter who it is, mother, father, brother, sister or the woman he loves...he is always there for them even when they have never been there for him when he needed...

So yes, he is a good son, but only a good son, he is also a good brother and lover too (He may have made many mistakes but he has always been there when she needed him)

And he has never gotten the same unconditional support and love from anyone of his love ones...

Last lines...🤣 That's true...true...That is why KSG says that he is the heroine of the show and that even though he has said yes to be the hero of the show, but he has to do everything that a heroine of the show does...😆

Great post👏.. It's nice to know other people on the forum also see Asad's pain instead of just trying to justify the other characters' behaviour.

I don't know...I don't think its quite as black and white as people think it is.
Dilshad left, but the only reason she did so, and even considered leaving, was because she knew he had Zoya. And even then, Dilshad always left a door open for Asad to come and meet/ talk to her. She never wanted to sever all contact with him.

It was Asad in the first place who tried to simplify the conflict by selfishly choosing she demand one person.

And regarding Zoya, she stopped him because Asad needs to let go of the resentment he feels for Rashid. He needs to move on. And if Asad runs to New York, leaving his mother alone with no suppose, then he's the one who suffers.

The problem with Asad is that he isn't always in the right. But KSG plays him so beautifully with such intensity that he overpowers the other characters occasionally and it seems like he is in the right.

I can see why Asad felt hurt. From his POV, it does seem like everyone left him. But from Zoya's POV, she's helping him. And Dilshad is being a little selfish, but remember, a woman isn't reduced to just being a mother, she's a human being too. She has a right to choose to do things for herself sometimes.

And for the record, I don't think Dilshad was right in going to Rashid, but I can see why she did it. And I don't think Zoya was right in originally letting Asad go, but she somewhat rectified her mistake when she stopped him from leaving.

This entire situation is deep with layers and coloured in grey. No one character is absolutely right.

@lovelylady, I understand what you're saying, but there are some things which my opinions probably differ on..
For example, you're saying Dilshad only left was because she knew Asad had Zoya.. But she said she's picking Rashid over Asad because Rashid needs her more, really? Who needs her more, the son who has no-one else but his fiancee, or the husband who already has another wife and kids, and other family members to take care of him?
Yes Asad shouldn't have made her choose, but even then I feel like she shouldn't have picked Rashid over her son, she should've given Asad more time to come round to the idea.

Zoya's right in the sense Asad needs to move on, but here she is practically forcing him to forgive and accept his father. Letting go of resentment and acceptance are completely different. Asad doesn't need to accept his father, that's his choice, but for his own sake he should let go of the hatred he holds. I just feel like all Asad's family are always trying to force him to make amends with his father, when really that's something personal to him. I guess my problem is that no-one seems to understand Asad, not even Zoya, who thinks just because he can't accept his father that makes him stone-hearted.

They all need to stop forcing their choices/opinions/feelings on each other, that relates to Asad, Zoya and Dilshad.
Asad shouldn't make his mother choose between him and his dad.
Zoya shouldn't force him to forgive his father, and should understand his feelings.
Dilshad shouldn't force him to forgive his father either.

As this is an Indian show I'm sure by the end of it Rashid and Asad will be best buddies, and probably even Shireen and Dilshad.😆

Absolutely! I think we all need to learn that the resolution to chaos is not the allocation of blame, but the acceptance of others and ones own mistakes, giving us the ability to move on. But this is the hardest tjing in the world to do!

Thanks...😳

Oh, there are many people who feels his pain and have tried to voice it again and again...I think this is one of the things we all agree, Asad has been always there for his love ones, has done everything for them but has never gotten the same unconditional support and love from them...
