What a brilliant episode! 10/10 from my side.
A lion is wounded. The guy who all his life cared for everyone around him and never thought about himself has finally learned to put himself first. It started with Mohabbat Ki Jeet when he lost patience, fought for his love, and brought her back to where she belonged-with him.
All of the sudden Asad has started thinking about himself and has embraced a very extreme approach to it. So much so that his anger is blinding his better judgement. His ammi being taken away was the final nail in the coffin and now AAK cares about only one thing-getting away. Far far away from the pain, bad memories, from losing. He has mentioned on more than one instance that he has lost and defeat is something he can't accept.
In the process he forgets that he has another life attached to him now-Zoya's. He has called her his Zindagi and she indeed is. Just the slight indication of tears in her eyes stabs him and he apologizes. Explains his pain and wipes her tears. She understands. She is his better half and for her he is above all. She can't live without him. She complies and is ready to go with him. Leaving everything else behind even her abbu.
Asad feels he has lost but Zoya knows what he is doing now is making him lose more. He is giving up relationships he has been blessed with, something she has longed for all her life, and he is just giving them up. She does not want him to make this mistake. She tries various approaches to get the point to him but Asad's anger blinds him. His hatred for Rashid has made him bitter. He utters words to Rashid which Zoya knows he will regret because she knows that behind this man is the little boy who longed for his father and still does.
She tries to convince him once more-but the defeat Asad has suffered is too overwhelming to overcome for Asad. She finally shows him the mirror. Asad went from being the sweetheart which we were seeing to a wounded lion who has so much pain. She calls him pathar dil tells him this is not the AAK she loves. She loves that selfless sweetheart. And that's it for Asad. He has had enough. Everyone is pointing out his flaws. He told Zoya he would never lose again and all he has been doing is losing. He has made a decision and he is going to stick by it. He is not going to lose from himself. And he walks out. Why doesn't Zoya go? Because she knows this is the only way to stop Asad. If they leave, she knows Asad will end up making a mistake he will always regret. Some where she also knows that if Zoya stays back Asad will be drawn back.
Asad and Zoya are both flawed. They are not perfect. There is a lot of criticism that they should put each other first and how can they just separate on a drop of a hat. Let me ask you girls when have we ALWAYS implemented the lessons we learned in life? There are several times that our better judgement is clouded. In Asad's case his anger is clouding his better judgement. Zoya is not putting RaDil first-she is putting Asad first because she knows he will regret this. Just like you and me, even AsYa make mistakes. This does not mean that they don't care about their about each other or their relationship. This just means that they are human. If Asad loses from himself now he won't even be able to face himself. If Zoya does not stop Asad then she will end up making an even bigger mistake and the only way to do it is refusing to go with him. Both are right in their places. Just because they are upset at each other does not mean they stop loving each other or will forget each other. Life is not a bed of roses and humans make mistakes. Their love is way too deep and they both know that.
Zoya realizes this and decides she needs to stop Asad. How can she live without him? She runs to stop him. The precap is one of the most beautiful precap's of QH. There is no way Asad can say no to those pleading eyes. Just like Zoya realized, Asad will too. He is upset at her abandoning him now and we all know about AAK's anger. But he himself has said it is very hard to stay upset at Zoya for long.
It is not about not prioritizing each other. It is about POV. AsYa's POV differs and both are right in their places. I don't know if you noticed or not but separating was painful for both of them and always will be. AsYa mean the world to each other. Just because they falter here and there and end up taking the wrong approach (Asad running away and Zoya letting him go) does not mean they don't prioritize each other. Because tomorrow Asad will once again put Zoya first and not stand by his decision because his Zoya needs him.
Okay i have said enough: All in all, fantastic episode. AsYa were brilliant. Zoya calling him a pathar dil was her last try to bring her sweetheart Asad back. But for Asad he is done with people pointing fingers. So both are justified.
I can't wait for tomorrow!
My prediction:
Asad may go to SM and may reconcile with Rashid. They may come to a point where Rashid ties Asad's sehra. But when mother truth comes out the hatred will be 10 times. "Rashid saab aap maafi ke layak nahi hai. Pehle apna mera baap cheena, phir meri Ammi, aur ab apne ek masoom Zoya ka bachpan bhi cheen liya, na jane aur kya kya paap kiye honge apne." It will only be Zoya who will eventually patch Asad and Rashid up by forgiving Rashid for his sins and telling Asad to do the same.
