@Shona: I don't think Dent was weak...he just wasn't ready for the kind of detachment this demanded...he was too good for his own good if u can get what I mean...kya hota hai pata hai...and this is my problem too that's why I know how it feels...when u are an idealist or you believe that goodness is universal and can bring about change, your ideas about good and bad become very rigid, there is no grey...when things fall apart despite no fault of yours, u start becoming disillusioned...basically knowing for a fact that goodness should win and when it doesn't, it rattles you...his entire predicament is summed up in one line 'we thought we could be decent men, in an indecent time'
