Can someone clear my doubt?

As per Gul khans interview she said that zoya is legally ayaans wife now so she should return back to Asad legally and logically, Iam really excited for asya reunion in today's episode but still zoya will be going back to kv as ayaans wife only right? So is the nikkah valid? I don't know much about Muslim marriages but as far as I understood its not a valid nikkah then when will they be showing it in serial? Or is it a valid nikkah?
