What is entertainment?

Lets talk in general about TV soaps and the entertainment quotient and where exactly QH stands in the overall entertainment. I don't think there is any specific formulae for entertainment but for sure there are some fundamental rules that are essential to create a good entertaining product. Viewers get hooked to a soap for reasons such as good story, gripping execution, exceptional acting, scenes that one can relate to with genuine balance of emotions. QH without doubt has a very good story and great actors but recently it is failing in the areas of execution and balancing the emotions. QH started off well but lately it is being plagued by grey characters and negative emotions, viewers get suffocated with perpetual tragedy and baddies getting away with minimum to no repercussions for their deeds. It is high time that they show positivity in QH story by bringing happy emotions and teach bad guys a lesson. After watching a show if a viewer feels frustrated, exhausted and depressed then it failed in entertaining its audience, based on TRPs, for sure it is not just me but most of us are frustrated, exhausted and depressed with the current track. I sincerely hope CVs take this in to consideration and fix their story telling and balance the negativity to bring back the charm.

In spider man's own words 'great strength comes with great responsibility', a TV soap gives an opportunity to send powerful messages with extensive audience reach. It is not only a privilege to be able to tell a story to such a large audience base but it is also a huge responsibility to tell the story right and to pass on the desirable message to have progressive impact on the society. I hope QH gets back its glory soon and entertain us the expected way.
