Asad was reprehensible fine but why Zoya was mute? what was the reason? Is this only her love for Asad which made her silent or there was something else point to ponder on.
And yes, Zoya need to change her my way or high way kinda attitude and for a change also try to understand why things are wrong in her life. AgreedNone of these characters are sympathetic and asad definitely has lost all.
Zoya is mute because that's how Indian Telly heroines behave in "love". Self-respect and intellect be hanged!
She is no longer the progressive and modern girl she was touted be - in fact my personal preference for the character would be shoot both men between the legs with a paint gun and catch a first class ticket flight back to New York - respect and dignity in tact. But this will not happen - you see she is in love.
I agree with you on zoya being mute and regressive however this is is zoyas story and unfortunately Gul will never have zoya sit there and reflect on her actions - this will be told from zoyas pov and from her pov asad is wrong. And that is the biggest problem with this track - had asad just gotten angry with zoya and she accepted that she made a big mistake the story would have been better, but this was glossed over and you had Ayaan and asad commit a terrible mistake. So now anything zoya has done pales in comparison.
@jazzy - responding to your post about zoya accepting this marriage and not giving it a try - can't remember which thread it was on - sorry - Gul doesn't have the guts to show zoyaan in love. If she did we wouldn't have an asya hug every other week. If she wanted to play it zoyaan as a real marriage she should have done it in June during Tanveergate. None of the characters would have been ruined in that scenario - asad would have a valid pov as would zoya. And of course zoya and Ayaan falling in love would never have been outside the realms of reality. But this would have been a real marriage. And as I said Gul doesn't have the guts to go there. As for zoyas self-respect and self-worth, what's that? Haven't you heard of true love? ;-)
