Flaws in Life
Narrator's POV:
Mr.Siddique came out in daze after his second visit to the Dean's Office. Yes,she was his daughter zoya.Not just her, but his other daughter was also there.Tears flowed freely out of his eyes, his happiness knew no bounds.
But still,there was a remorse in his heart.His heart heaved with guilt.He broke his promise to them.He never came back to them.
It was written in the file that she was the daughter of Late Zainab Siddique...thats all. The space left for Father's Name was blank. She didnt want him' was the first thought came to his mind.
He went home with a heavy heart and also with the slight glint of happiness that he could watch his daughters atleast in someway.
He promised himself that he would take care of their every need and never let anyone disturb their lives.
He would always watch over them hiding and would never come infront of them and cloud their beautiful lives.

It was night and there a woman who was the wife of Mr.Siddique, was holding a small picture of a baby girl who could be a few hours old,sleeping peacefully in her crib.
Raziya Siddique was crying, crying her heart without even wiping her tears. She looked at the picture with love and caressed the baby's face.
The mother in her wanted to search for her daughter furiously but she couldnt.Yes,she had lost her daughter.
She let out a loud wail thinking of her long lost daughter whom she loved with her whole heart.
The picture was taken just a few hours of her birth in the hospital.
How could she search for her daughter when she doesnt even know her name? No,she never named her.She never bothered with a name as she had kept cute nicknames to call her little daughter.
And when she was about to name her baby,her daughter was snatched away for her.She never saw her liitle girl again. She still loves her daughter eventhough,she had mothered her baby girl only for a few weeks.

Neither zoya nor asad had come out of their rooms after the announcement.
Asad was feeling awkward eventhough he was thoroughly happy with Kaka's decision.He felt that its better to marry a friend than marrying some unknown girl.
He also wanted to talk to zoya about her day but this awkwardness was preventing him from doing so.
But soon the need to help his best friend consumed his awkwardness.He realized how much zoya was dear to him,how much she meant to him.He can never let go of her.A single tear from her eyes is enough to crash his whole world down.
He needed to talk to her.
Here,Zoya was really feeling guilty for putting herself and asad into this situation when there is actually no fault of hers. Moreover,she was feeling guilty after know Tanveer's feelings about him.
Tanveer had come to zoya's room before a few hours and told Zoya about everything she felt for asad.
This relevation made zoya angry at first as a wave of possessiveness come over her after learning about her friend's feelings for the man,who she was going to marry.
But she reprimanded herself for such stupid thoughts and assured Tanveer that she would talk to Kaka in the morning.

*Inside Kaka's Room*
Z: Kaka...Why did you decide that I would be Asad's bride?
K: Because I know that you would make the perfect wife for him.
Z: But why me? I mean...Kaka I have something to tell.
K: yes?
Z: Kaka...Tannu has harboured some feelings for asad.She told me herself.
K: So?
Z: She has a huge crush on him.She is totally infatuated by him.So,I think it would be better if they both marry eachother.
K:Dear,all this crush and infatuation is just a time pass pleasure.When the time comes,none of these feelings would matter.It would vanish leaving both of them to live a life of hell.
Z: But there are chances that this will turn into love.
K: Rare chances.But Zoya you have to understand as to why I have made this decision.I dont have anything against Tanveer.
She is like my daughter just like you,Nikhat,Najma,Nuzhat and Humeira. She is family.But,I have made this decision because I know that this would be the right thing.
Z: But Kaka...I feel guilty for taking Asad away from Tannu.She would hate me.
K: Zoya, tell me this...Do you love Asad?
She stared at him confused.
K: Like a friend?Do you accept him as a family?
Z: Yes, I love him,he is my friend.He is family too.
K: Then what? Marry him.Crush and infatuation can fade away with time but friendship cant.The bond of friendship is so strong that you both will definitely be happy if you are together.
I will talk to tanveer.And dear you have to know this thing for sure that only you can handle Asad.Please understand that.
She smiled nodding.
K: Now go, get ready for Uni.
She left the room.
And everyone left for Uni except Tanveer who excused herself citing illness.
Asad was still sleeping as he hadnt slept most of the night thinking of ways to talk to Zoya.

All Zoya wished was never come face to face with that man like the before day.And her wish was granted.
Most of her day went in finding ways to hide the secret of their lives from Humeira and also about ways to convince Tanveer.

Kaka had talked to Tanveer tried to understand. But her emotions and stubborness in her didnt want to leave what she thought belonged to her.So, she made a hasty decision.She went away from there.She wrote a letter telling that she is leaving.

When Zoya and others came back home, all she found in Tanveer's room was a letter personally written to Zoya that she cant stay here and witness the heartbreaking scene of her getting married to Asad.
That she is going away for good back to her parents in India.
Zoya tried contacting Tanveer and successfully got through her phone.
Z: Tannu,..Tannu what have you done?Why did you leave all of a sudden?Have you gone crazy?
T: Zoya,relax! Nothing has happened to me.Iam fine.I really wont be able to make through it zoya.Do you really want to see me all broken when you'll marry asad?
Z: I talked to Kaka..but
T: I know zoya,I know. And I respect Kaka's decision.He is right.And I am not at all angry at you.But I cant be here. Iam not going anywhere,just back to my parents,that all.Dont worry! I will stay in touch.
Zoya breathed a teary " Okay" into the phone.
Tanveer hadnt wanted anyone to see her off.She wished to be left alone and told that she would call once she reached India.

Asad who reached late there didnt know what happened and was shocked to hear that Tanveer went back to India.No one said anything about why she left.

Zoya shut herself in her room and cried feeling guilty for the condition of her friend.But Asad didnt leave her.He had wanted to console her and that he did.
He barged into her room and gathered the crying zoya in his arms.He had never seen her cry except on the day when he first met her.Her tears always made him weak. But he had to be strong now.
As: Zoya stop crying!Please...
Z: How can I Asad? How...She-She left because of me.
As: No, no dear! Not because of you.
Z:YES! She left because of our marriage.
As: Because of our marriage??
She nodded and said
Z: She had harboured feelings for you and I didnt know that.And when I came to know,I talked to Kaka about it but he convinced me to marry you. And now because of that...
Asad was shocked to know that Tanveer had feelings for him.He had never realised it.
As: So,you're not happy with this marriage?
He asked ever so softly and felt a pang in his heart when she shook her head.
Z: No Asad.Iam happy.Very happy! But that means..I would lose my friend.
He sighed in relief.
As: Where did she go that you're talking about losing her and all.She just needs time and iam sure that she will come back.Please dont cry now!
She nodded and Asad wiped her tears carefully.
As: So Zoya are you really okay marrying me? I mean if you are not okay..then we can..
Z: Asad! Iam very happy.Iam marrying my friend and thats really very good.Marriage doesnt mean that we should dump our friendship and act all husband-wife right? We can still be friends.
And he smiled.
As: Yes,we will always be together no matter what.
Z: Okay,enough of these emotional talks.Now,did you eat? I think no.Because a friend wouldnt eat unless and until his friend ate,so I assume you havent eaten and now Iam hungry, so lets go have dinner.
He smiled at her and followed her lead.

Tanveer didnt have the heart to leave this place.She roamed around all the places and finally sat on a lonely bench in the sidewalk.
She doesnt want to believe what all Kaka said to her.He had said that she was just infatuated by Asad.But she wouldnt believe that.All she knew was that she wants Asad in her life and thats it.
Raziya who had come out of her house,searching information about the one and only girl she considered to be her enemy,came to a halt seeing a young girl crying. She immediately recognised who the girl was.
Raziya had seen her with Zoya in many of the photos that she had collected about her.
why is she crying?'she thought and approached Tanveer.
Raziya coaxed her into talking and Tanveer unaware of her intentions,told Raziya everything.
Raziya smirked devising a new plan.'She could be of use'
She persuaded Tanveer and made her mind work against Zoya.
R: Tanveer,dont you want to do something to that girl who took away your happiness?
T: No! Why would I? She...she is my friend...
R: Hmph! Had she been your true friend,she wouldnt have done this to you?She would given your Asad back to you.He was always yours,wasnt he?
Tanveer nodded.
R: Then?You must not give away what is yours,understand?
T: But she has been through so much in life,the worst of life. But...
R: Now , it is clear. This is why she wants to take away your happiness.Girls like this can never live in peace.They always want everyone's happiness.
They want the others who are happy to go through what these girls have been through.And your so called friend is no different.
T: So what should I do?
R: You should not give up and fight for what is yours.Revenge her.Get your Asad back from her!
Tanveer's mind was made with these words.
R: Come with me...I will provide you with all the things to help you.

Asad and Zoya had their dinner and proceeded towards each other's room while Asad pulled Zoya away and led her into his room.
As: Zoya I see that something is troubling you from yesterday?What is it?
Z: Its just Tannu leaving...
As: No, I said from yesterday...!
Slowly tears formed in her eyes as she remembered the worst days of childhood.Asad panicked seeing her tears and took her to his bed while making her cry on his shoulder.
Asad gave ample time for her sobs to subside and letting her speak up,
Z: I saw him Asad! Him!
He remained silent.
Z:That man who snatched away the happiness of my childhood! Who destroyed my life!
As: Who?
Z: That man whom my mother told was my father.That man who created me with his sinful flesh and filthy blood!
This much anger against her father,but why?'thought Asad.
Z: He left me Asad!Not only me but also my little sister.What did that poor girl do? All her life she yearned for her Abbu but how can I reveal the truth which must be hidden from her forever for her good.
I dont want to see her broken.I can never see that!
As: Zoya...Tell me what happened?
His soft voice made it.She broke away all her sheilds and told the man who she knew held her whole life in his strong hands,about her worst phase of life.
She told him about how her father left her mother after she went into an accident and died. Without even attending her funeral ceremony,he left her and Humeira all alone with no one to take care except for Zeenat.Eventhough her mother left her a great fortune,there was no one to manage all that.
Slowly everything was getting over but Anwar stepped into their lives and saved all.Zoya as a child had always seen her mother grieve at nights but at that she didnt understand the reason behind it.
But after she grew up,Zeenat had revealed that her father had second marriage. All these made zoya hate him.
When she finished telling all this, her face was as good as stone,but Asad was teary eyed crying for his friend who had to go through so much in life.
Asad had willing given up the warmth and love of a family for achieveing success in life but here zoya had never exprienced any of that.Not only her but also that sweet little Humi.
Zoya got concerned for him and told him how she and his sisters got together,which brought a sweet smile on his face.
Z: So end of the story!...Now lets sleep.
As: Okay! Good night.
He said kissing her head.
Z: Oh,your water mug is empty,let me fetch you some water.
As: Zoya,no need for that!
Z:Oh really? Why,do you want to wake up in the middle of night thirsty and also wake me up to fetch you water? Its better I get you water now itself.
Asad pouted about being complained and she rolled her eyes.
She went out to get water while Asad arranged some pillows around him and tucked himself inside the covers.After all these angonizing moments all he needs is some good night's sleep.
When Zoya came up , what she witnessed left her stunned.Asad was sleeping as if there is no tomorrow,the duvet hanging at one side of the bed and some of the pillows were down and he himself was at the point of falling off the bed.
She hurriedly placed the mug of the side table and tried arranging his bed and most importantly Asad himself.She rolled him to the other side and kept some extra pillows on the sides.
She smiled at his cute face and said to herself,
Z: OMG!! What will do with him? Hmm..Kaka was right,only I can handle this fussy child.
