Amazing post! I respect you for filing a complaint! You are right. Gul SHOULD be bought to task and so should Zee tv for allowing such a storyline in the first place!

Gul was trying to dispel the wrong impressions people had of Islam from this show? Excuse me Gul... Are you not reinforcing them? By showing the Qazi's being adamant of pushing this accidental marriage on this couple, they are PROVING that they are regressive!! It is CLEAR that the couple are NOT consenting to this? So why do all this drama about asking for consent when they are marrying people? Why not just force them to marry any old person they bring and sit down in front of them??

NOW to add insult to injury, the women in question is being forced into accepting a marriage she did not consent to, and live in the house of the man she accidentally married, pretending to be his wife?? ALL to get some money hungry women to let her son marry the daughter of the house? Nikhat is officially pathetic. Trying to kill herself coz she has not been able to get married? That too to a man she barely knows and doesn't even love? Her brothers must give up women they want to be with so HER marriage can take place? Disgusting!!

In all...this show has really started to scrape the barrel! I am not Indian, but even I feel bad thinking that India already has a bad reputation RE it's treatment of women, and Gul has only gone and made that image worse by showing a women being sold like a slave in 2013!! An educated women from NYC who is an American citizen! So if THIS is what SHE can expect in India... What will the regular village girls do? They are fully doomed to a lifetime of slavery!!

Once again, you guys Are blowing it all out of context, like people did. In slap scene and skirt fiasco .

I will not go in those details.

If Zoya did not get into the accidental Nikaah, none of this would have happend.
Asad is being blind. In his love for his half brothers and sis, perhaps he has to prove a point in ref to his stand on how he can give his life for them, so agreed he is sacrificing his and Zoya ka pyar for that.

Thai is stupid on his part and it should come back and bite him, as shown in the promo, he is angry but pl,refrain from words like bartering, slave, prostitute etc.

He is not married to. Zoya yet, if he was he would have never done this.. So there is no wife exchange etc.
If you have been reading indian newspapers, worse things are happening in real life, where husbands are trading their wives for favors etc.

So pl stop this trashing unnecessary.
The track is unethical, Zoya becomes Asad ki bhabhi , and he will still love her etc etc .
So that is another topic

So your blaming ZOYA coz she was at the accidental Nikaah and therefore she DESERVES what she is getting? Is that what you are trying to say?

Asad did NOT have to agree to send her to SM when he also knows this marriage is NOT VALID? What sort of man forces a women to go against her will to another man's house and act as his wife? ALL so that his pathetic spineless sister can get married??

PLEASE don't insult the intelligence of people on this forum by trying to "lighten" the disgusting act of the Khan's and the Sidiqui's!! Zoya being Asad's babhi is the LEAST of the concerns at this point!! Seriously!!

Excuse me @ rapunzale, you amuse me.

I am not dictating. Anyone here.
You are absloutely entitled t o your views.
You are def inciting some of the readers unnecessary, who are not well informes maybe of the world affairs and indian affairs.

I live in Us too, here of woman abuse day in and out.

So again pl refrain from using words like commodity, slave etc.
The one who really needs aspine , needs to speak up is Nikhat.
Now if you had objected to how pathetic her character has become to commit suicide over a groom, her inf complexes , that would have been very reasonable.

Again my point of view , so take it easy

Zoya was traded as a slave/ as a commodity...she was forced / compelled/ coerced/ blackmailed...into signing the papers. She clearly started that she didn't want to...please don't tell me how how a woman is treated in the US...I know that because I was raped...I work in a shelter where I see woman battling with their existence everyday...no one knows it better than me. So Nikhat by all means is a woman who is the biggest disappointment for a woman...I would be disrespecting myself and all the woman I know who knows that living a life and overcoming obstacles is far more worthwhile than just trying to commit suicide. A person who does that is coward.

Asad is not a fool but a criminal...that is what a person is called here in the states.

I am happy to have amused you with my post.

And being abused and traded is 2 different matters. Yes agreed that Nikhat is a loser but who made her that?? Her stupid mother and family plus society.

Zoya is being traded like a commodity / Slave and that is a fact and the payment shall bereceived by Rashid Ahmed Khan's family. Their daughter gets saved and will be marrying into hell as she wants. Sadly the master of the commodity is so stupid that he does not realise he gets nothing out of this trade.

The hatred will still remain towards him and his family and he will get 2nd hand goods without gaining anything.

The master Asad is the biggest fool and as for Zoya...

Everybody keeps saying that why is she not standing up for herself. Well just my thought , for someone who has been yearning for a loving family all her life , she found it at KV . She found motherly, sisterly and i dont know what to call Asad's love ( if anyone knows pls add on) .
She does not want to lose it hence doing everything at Asad's beck and call.

exactly...it's just appalling the way ppl think. Zoya has never been a priority for Asad...he disgusts me actually. But be rest assured Gul will make Zoya go back to him...that is her speciality.

Agree, Asad is the biggest fool and sucker, and he should have def said no way and walked away, but no way he is the master and slave here.
He is suffering as much and being very very foolish, as his mom would put it tomorrow

If something pains you so much should not just remove the pain and get away from it. W*F is he still trying to sober that pain. That pain started 17 yrs ago and he is trying to trade his love the only thing he ever wanted in his life to get rid of the pain.

He should have cut all ties with that pain and by now the pain would have vanished and he would not be in this mess.

Thanks. I just couldn't stop myself from complaining...that is the least I could do because I just felt so disgusted after reading the update. Gul singlehandedly has destroyed...demeaned...insulted women ...ironically she is a woman too and a self proclaimed progressive one.

Apparently an educated American woman from NYC will accept her destiny(something called muqaddar...till now,I haven't come across any educated person think like that?)and will agree to be sold to the buyer by her master.

The horrific rape in India hasn't changed anything...women are still raped/ battered/ mistreated...domestic violence and child rape is on the rise...recently tourists have not been spared either, there were several rape incidents. The most shameful thing was when the Indian politicians believe that women should dress appropriately to eliminate attraction. This is why India has been declared as the worst and unsafe place for a woman to live in.

exactly, the funny thing is he is so in love with Ayaan/half sis...he even agreed to not prioritize his own sis Najma...forget about Zoya and all the while hating Rashid. I really don't know what to think of him.

I'm here very late but I simply couldn't resist😳

@Bold, My point exactly. We are the net savvy viewers, we are wise enough to allow for creative license, we can tell real from reel, but what about those MASSES that Gul caters to? If hot and handsome Asad Ahmed Khan can drag his fiance and hand her over to his brother while she sobs and pleads with him, what is to prevent the average Joe who owns the paan/beedi shop from doing the same with his sister/wife? If smart, foreign bred Zoya has no say in who she marries, what hope do the millions of girls across the sub continent have of living life on their own terms?

Having said that, I still would like to give Gul the benefit of doubt. Her characters seem almost bi-polar, switching from upright and progressive to spineless and regressive within a few scenes, but just maybe there is a plan here... In her interviews she did say so far the story was only being set up... I am hoping that by that she meant that her characters will now, through this track evolve into stronger more responsible humans. I am hoping that she has shown this utterly regressive track to be able to highlight how wrong both Asad and Zoya are (Nikhat, Ayaan and Humeira too) and in the near future shows them acknowledging and rectifying their mistakes.

If this is truly Gul's plan, then judging by the viewers furor I think she's already been partly successful. Yes, I know that many are only interested in a superficial story and want AsYa together at any cost, but thankfully there are also many like Rapunzale who abhor this track for all the valid reasons👏

If Gul meant through this track, for us to witness a grave injustice being done, then yes, we have noticed it, now please do every woman out there a service and put it right!
