everyone is saying how could aayan, how could asad, how could zoe, what regressive story telling and all that about what happened today.. with Aayan asking for Zoe, Asad willing to take her to Sm, and Zoe flip flopping.
My reply is: they all acted as their characters would normally act.
Aayan- has always been IMPULSIVE, and when it came to his sisters, he has always EASILY emo-ed Asad and sidelined him and questioned Asad's love for his sisters. So today, when he asked Asad for Zoya to save Nikhat's life and emo'ed him that he should show that he loves his step-sisters just as much as Nazma, I EXPECTED it. It was nothing out of the ordinary. Aayan has always been an emotional fool and impulsive when it comes to his sisters and today he proved that.
Asad- him taking zoe to SM.. He has ALWAYS time and again have been put in a position where his love for his siblings - (step) has been questioned. He has always been emotional and when in pain .. he never takes a punching bag approach and does things with logic. He acts emotionally. so when he told zoe to go with him, it made sense. He acted EMOTIONALLY. Asad is an emotional fool when it comes to grave situations and usually never thinks logically. He reacts with his heart. Tomorrow when he takes Zoe to SM, he will react with his heart only and do something for Nikhat. Nikhat the girl who has already suffered so much because of the Najma and Imran fiasco.
I still have hopes though, the way Asad is sending Zoe.. and the fact that he told her to trust their love,
i have a feeling he will try to get to the bottom of Zoyaan's marriage and try to prove it fake.. or at least make some efforts in fixing Haseena bee up. đ
Zoe- she has always HARPED about being modern and having self-respect and standing up for herself.. but when it came to emotional moments she has always taken the quiet.. low self-esteem route. She never makes points for herself in the serious situations when it comes to her and Asad. Throwback to when Asad blasted her about the Humeira poisoning and told her to leave, Zoe didnt stick up for herself, she left. When it comes to her and Asad, she usually never argues with him unless its about her dressing or her principles. So what she did today by not saying anything when the bros were bartering her.. made sense. She felt guilty cause of the wedding, and probably found no reason to speak up.
However, tomorrow i have to say she will be a flip flopper. I liked that she didnt want to leave Asad, but I expected her to go with Aayan considering she believes so much in the istituation of marriage. Here, One moment Zoe is saying yes she and aayan got married, and tomorrow she is saying no to leaving. Mind it, she hasnt rejected that she hasn't gotten married. She said it was a mistake.
Even Shireen- she has ALWAYS cared about only her kids.. so today when she said Asad should prove himself and his love for his siblings, it made sense.
The only thing that didnt make ANY sense was the BARTERING. That was completely illogical. Do i agree with it? HELL NO. i think its CHEAP and SICK.. but what the characters did today.. does it make sense characteristically, YES. it makes sense to their CHARACTERs and their characters personalities.
This is not to say that I agree with any of this.. The way the characters reacted, as much as it made sense to me, i think it shows LACK of character growth and development. None of this was regressive or a step back, if anything, it was one-note and stagnant. It was as if we THOUGHT these characters would have changed a bit and Asad in some realms for example has by showing immense reserve in his reactions and control of himself and his anger, but overall.. it really shows that Asad Ayan and Zoe are still the same when it comes to EMOTIONAL reactions.
They are emotional fools.
