And yes I completely agree that there is no need to break zoya's belief that marriage is a lifelong commitment...its something to be proud of and I believe in this too...and waise bhi its not like she is making haste in taking the decision regarding marriage...she has taken her time and decided to marry the person whom she loves and rho is perfect for her so why does her belief needs to be shattered its not like she is going to marry someone wrong

Yeah i get that..But according to the original synopsis, the ZoYaan track happens before any connection is established between Asad and Zoya..So the prospect of Ayaan asking Asad to marry Zoya so that he can subsequently reunite with her despite knowing that Asad and Zoya were supposed to get married at some point in time is grossing me out😆

Brilliant post Kaussar! And we have previously discussed this and you know my views about that taumr dialogue of hers. I don't think this BS in the name of twist, in fact in the name of destiny is justified and there is no reason to break this belief of Zoya. She wants to be with the man she loves and honour that relationship and wants to commit to that marriage. So what is the harm if she believes so much in the institution of marriage. What is the need to shatter that belief. But GK just amazes me when she dishes out unpalatable stuff one after the other all in the name of twist. And the best part, its not a love story 😆 Who is she kidding

As a storyteller, one should be honest and she has not been that. I have lost my faith in her storytelling. But I am still watching the show because its a habit now. But if things get really unpalatable, I am going to practice what Gul and her team preach ie dekhna hai to dekho 😆

And as we have discussed many times ZoYaan is illogical to happen and does not fit into the story in any logical way.. but GUL wanted to somehow do it.. so the outcome is naturally going to be illogical and something that we cannot digest.. And its not because we as viewers just wants to see Asad and Zoya's chemistry all the time.. A story has to have some logic and a purpose to it.. lets see if she would revert back to her planned story soon ( by which i dont mean the synopsis - it never was her planned story, not at least from the 10 th episode onwards) once she is satisfied with her ZoYaan craving.😆

Why should a positive belief be shattered? What is wrong with believing marriage is forever? However, isn't there a caveat there? Zoya said she would choose her partner? Even assuming she marries Ayaan, she would be doing it under duress! So, how is that free choice? And if it is not free choice, how does the second part about marriage being a lifelong commitment hold? Agree.. you have made a good point. If it is not a free choice there is no obligation for her to hold onto her promise. so conflict of her belief actually should never arise.

I also have another issue! On the one hand, Gul says the show is about showing the progressive face of the Muslim community. On the other, she takes a fatalistic position and talks of accepting destiny. Isn't there a contradiction in terms right there? A progressive person will not accept destiny quietly, he will question it and fight against it if it is not to his liking. He will try to make his own destiny. If Zoya accepts this marriage as her destiny, how the hell does that make her progressive? Another good point. agree with you completely.. perhaps what she want to actually show is that Muslims are also progressive by making Zoya break her own marriage and show the entity of second marriage happening for the sake of love because she was forced to marry in the first marriage? if it happens that way then at least it has some logic.. But for that she need not marry the brother of her love.. someone else also could have served the purpose.😆

I dont think its to break Zoya's belief but general people belief more. I never knew in muslims marriage has no meaning unless both parties are in, and sure most either, I believe Gul is trying to tell girls who are dragged into these type of marriages their rights, again this is how I see as Gul's vision is much broader with QH I always felt.. i also felt that her vision was much broader and i sincerely hope that in the end she shows some logic and meaning, perhaps in the way you said..

And love how you define meaning of marriage for Zoya and why, and no this belief shouldnt be broken as what she believes in we all do too. Marriage is sacred institution and should be but one shouldnt be pushed into this under false pretence either which will be in this case. With Akram things were different, her gaurdians were ready and so was she but right now it is under pressure..

If this marriage happens everythng is wrong, message and all, one will stop believing in GOD and their good deeds as people like Tanveer wins and curses of people like Shireen come true. Yea
I havent lost any faith yet here and dont think Gul will send wrong message through something she cherish most, her religion, and want to bring some change through QH in it. There was reason she spend money like water and went to Ajmer, even though idea flopped but her intentions were good.. Its good that you are still sensible and hoping for the best.. i am also keeping an open mind and waiting till the track unfolds completely.. still have a little faith in her because she did not disappoint me till now.. Lets see.😊
