They should have developed Zoya and Ayaan in the beginning days - have Zoya meet Ayaan - without knowing that Asad was his brother and then they could have had them get married. Why in the beginning? Even after the SR, they could have shown Ayaan save zoya and led to their nikah! But since in the name of TRPs and milking Asad -Zoya chemistry, they didnt do that and now desperately need to get back to their zoyaan drama - hence you have this.
