As a child Asad did not hate his father. When he was young, he was still hoping that, one day everything will get better. His dad will come back.he will, like any other kid, willcelebrate his b'day with his Dad and he will rcv lots of gifts from his Dad..

Years of disappointment is what has now turned into HATE.. This HATE is a self preservation mechanism. He does not want to open up to his dad, hope for his presence, just to get disappointed again.. Bcze, everytime he has seen Rashid letting him down

Today , it was the young Asad who expressed his wish to Zoe. He for a moment let his armor down.

Did you notice, how when Zoe started to express her sympathies, he shuned her and walked away.. Here the grown up Asad took control again..
