In life, we have all experienced that fork in the road when we have to make some of the biggest decisions in our life. What separates a weak person from a strong person is the path taken after hitting this fork.

Nikhat: Once again, Nikhat showed her mettle today when she asked Haseena bi to leave her house and break her relationship off with Imran. For a woman who has been brought up in an extremely conservative environment and made to believe that she is 'dark and ugly,' this was a momentous decision. She could have cowed down, taken the easier path of silence and suffered in a highly stressful marriage. Today, she stood up for herself and for her father. She has seen her father bend over backwards to accommodate Haseena bi's demands but when the rubber band was stretched beyond its limits, it snapped.

I absolutely adored Nikhat standing up for herself! When she told her mother that it is her life I literally did this ----> 👏👏

Rashid: This man has probably been at several forks all his life. He has faced so many such decisions that I am sure he is a pro at making choices. We have usually seen him take the easier path (so far because we don't know the whole Dilshaad vs Shireen story yet)- the path of silence and status quo- but today, he stood up for his daughter and severed their relationship with Haseena and Imran. Again-a colossal step for a man like Rashid.

Vaquar Sheikh was all kinds of brilliant today. Rashid found his voice. It's good to know that when put in a situation that might harm his kids he will find a way to speak up. I agree we don't have the complete story on the past but I am not yet ready to look at him kindly there. While he is one character I wouldn't mind forgiven - I think Gul needs to keep the Asad/Rashid relationship forever slightly tense but on the mend. Whether he wanted to or not he caused a lot of heartache. Shireen on the other hand made me want to buy a gun and shoot her. What a vile mother!

Imraan: He is a mystery to me. We have seen him bribing a wh**e to keep her mouth shut, remain silent when his ammi berates his would be in laws and now threaten to commit suicide if not united with someone whom he claims he loves. To me, he is just a weak man who chooses the easier path at each fork in the road. If he had broken up with Najma three years ago, why does he want her now? Why does he call her when he is threatening suicide? Why does he shove money into Tanveer's purse when he wants to stay out of trouble? Never trust a man like Imran because he will always take the easier way out.

Imran is quite the mystery. So, he was in a relationship of some sort with Tamatar. This would put Najma in high school at the very least. Was he a senior who was kind to her? Did they date date? Why does Najma still hold a flame for him. Interesting scenario there.

Najma: Poor tamatar. How old was she when she broke up with her boyfriend? In kindergarten (JK)? Looks like, at some point she had broken up with a guy but for some reason, he seems to be haunting her these days. She never looked distressed or heartbroken before. So, does that mean, this ex- boyfriend (assuming it's Imran) has recently tried to re-enter her life? She is also at cross roads then. Should she accept him back or ask him to leave? We don't know the circumstances behind their breakup but if Tanveer was definitely in the picture as recently as 3-4 months ago, Najma needs to take the tough decision of leaving Imran at the fork and find someone more suitable for her.

I am glad Najma is comfortable enough to share such details with Zoya. They truly looked like a family!

Asad: Asad has recently come out of one of the most precarious situations in his life. He is a relieved man but a man on a mission- how to make his beloved happy and fulfill all her wishes. Today, when he broke her music box, one could see how guilty he felt. He went back to self-loathing mood when he found out the truth about Tanveer and Zoya's abbu. Right now, for Asad, all his paths lead to one destination- Zoya. At every fork, he will continue to take the path that makes Zoya happy. It doesn't matter how hard that route would be. Just like his Sallu, star, pizza and moon act, he will make sure he re unites Zoya with her abbu. This is going to be his toughest challenge but I am sure he will accomplish it- if not by Eid, then in the near future for sure.

Despite the light moments, I am glad that neither Asad and Zoya are brushing Tanveergate under the rug. Their relationship has undergone many ups and downs but today she has categorically chosen Asad over her father and Asad knows this - which is why he makes the promise to find the elusive Abbu. I am not entirely sure that Gaffur will be revealed on Saturday but a lot of clues will definitely pop up - I would think. Either way Asad will choose Zoe's happiness and Zoe will choose his which means in their own contradictory way they will find a way to stay with each other.

Zoya: Just like Asad, she has been at crossroads many times and just recently, took the toughest decision of her life when she chose Asad's freedom and happiness over her own quest for her abbu. Just like Asad, she will always choose the path that leads to happiness for her loved ones. Zoya is an expert at this game. How many times has she gotten into trouble because of the road taken vs not taken?

I am curious to see what happens when her abbu does actually appear in front of her eyes. Knowing that she loves to reach out to her loved ones, I have a feeling she will take that difficult path that leads her to her abbu. She will try her best to appease him, win him over but will Ghafoor be worth all that effort? Only time will tell.

Interesting Observations Today:

1. Rashid and Ghafoor's discussion on daughters, their happiness, image in society. What a foreshadowing of the future track. Can I see Ghafoor at crossroads in the near future?
2. Music box- shattered and fixed by Asad. Even though he will help shatter the illusion for Zoya, he will do everything to help her mend that relationship with her father. In the end, it will be Zoya who breaks her relationship with abbu and returns to Asad. Will Asad send her to SM in the first place? Let's see.

I am not sure that Asad would send her to SM or even that Zoya would go. In my opinion, in the narrative it serves no purpose. Harini had an interesting point - Badi B might move into 1.0 which will begin unravel Razia and Gaffur as BB gets better. I think this is more likely.

1. Asad and Zoya color coordination- was damn cute! They are on the same boat, same page and same side of the fence 'finally.

Loved the fact that all the main characters were given a chance to emote and act today. QH has a great ensemble and I love to see all of them getting a share of the limelight.

👏 👏 for Nikhat and Rashid! Finally, both spoke up!! It's disgusting that she had to put up with so much abuse. For someone who grew up with full parental support, I could not digest the parents tolerating that kind of constant abuse. Heck, I personally think Nikhat has a very nice face with great features! But alas, the Indian bias to fairness. More than stressful, I think her marriage would be abusive and would completely kill her self worth. No human being should go through that. With that said, most of the younger females in the show are shown to have some "physical flaw". Wonder what's up with that?

• Zoya - burnt arm
• Tanveer - hideous eye
• Nikhat - dark (I refuse to call her ugly as she is not!)
• Najma - overweight (can be fixed!!)
• Nuzhat - spectacles (can be fixed with Laser, like yours truly did!)
• Humeira - none shown so far. Perhaps ill health. Currently mental flaw shown.

Rashid finally showed some b@lls! As much as I think he is a nice human being, he is spineless. He was a silent spectator when a classy lady like Dilshaad was insulted, multiple times! Never there for his 5 kids, especially the 2 sons and Nikhat bore a lot! He finally supported Nikhat but then went back to silent mode with Shireen. To date, his best relationship has been with Zoya! She has been able to talk to him about things that she could not share with others!

The whole age thingy has me in splits. Funny how in my morning post (was it there or did i lose it!) I questioned the timeline for Najma meeting Imraan. But 3yrs! Really unexpected! So let's do some math (yeah, one of my fave subjects 😉):

Facts: Gudiya factory happened 17 yrs ago. Zoya was 3, Najma was 1 when that happened. The show has progressed only about 2 1/2 months

I am going off of memory. Correct me if wrong:

• Asad - about 26 yrs old. 7 when Rashid brought over Ayaan. Dilshaad was preggers with Najma and on Najma's 1st bday(so about year and half later), all hell broke lose! So, 7 + 1.5 + 17 = 26 rounded up as he is a Leo
• Ayaan: 3 + 1.5 + 17 = 22 rounded up
• Zoya: 3 + 17 = 20
• Najma: 1 + 17 = 18 (Minus 3 yrs ago, she was 15 when she broke up with whoever! Teenage crush!!)
• Nikhat: not sure here. I thought she was older than Najma. That would mean Shireen was pregnant the same time as Dilshaad or Shireen was taking care of the infant.
• Tanveer: 23 or 24 (was on her report. Don't remember exactly.)

So everyone is so young!!

Yes, I don't see Asad abandoning Zoya when Gaffur's truth comes out. He'll stand by her thick and thin! He has no qualms about touching her arms or saying his mind. Loved how he acknowledged that he was wrong in thinking she did not care for relations etc. and how she was a very nice person. He completely understands her now.

We talked previously about how she hasn't said ILU or hugged Asad yet and how she seems uncomfortable in intimate scenes. I still think its mostly the holy month and partly her traditional values. She had no qualms telling him that he is now her duniya and zindagi. They are both irrevocably in love! Can we now PLEASE stop with Ms Farooqui and Mr Khan. Its jarring on my nerves especially during emotional scenes! It's ok for nok jokh!!

I am curious to see what happens when her abbu does actually appear in front of her eyes. Knowing that she loves to reach out to her loved ones, I have a feeling she will take that difficult path that leads her to her abbu. She will try her best to appease him, win him over but will Ghafoor be worth all that effort? Only time will tell.

Whatever she does, I hope she does not leave Asad. I feel Asad will now sacrifice for her happiness and force her to go to SM. Will he pretend and become Akdu again and break her heart? Time will tell.

yes she finally did what was needed..and i know its not that easy...she tolerated every rubbish thing just because she was under the impression that she is inferior though she was made to believe it by others ...she never wanted to cate problems for her parents because of her..so she did whatever family said to do...she even started loving imraan just because she knew he is the one who will be her life ow onwards...she gave him benefit of doubt every time he didn't raise his voice when he was supposed to..

she stood for her father but she wanted imraan to stand for her...unfortunately later didn't happen...

isnt story of everyone...????even when we come across as strong one..but still somewhere wewant someone to stand by our side...not because we can not handle situation..its just gives some assurance that we are doing right.and things will not change for bad and even if they do..they are always with us..

rashid had gone through a lot and made others also to go through the same..and thats his guilt...he knows because of his life choice..be it by will or not..he caused pain for his loved ones...

we don't know his story but he has been always a weak man... thats truth..even today he stood for his daughter at one moment but next moment he could not say anything in front of gafoor and even shireen..

this man no longer believes in himself that he can make right choices because of failure and consequences of his past choices.

after todays episode i think imraan is a weak man... and he is somewhat like rashid not completely but yes makers want him to potray as another rashid..and nazma and nikhat as shireen and dilshaad..

he feels bad whenever nikhat was insulted but he could never stand for her..though i dont know the reason behind it..is it only fear of a dominating mother or some other kind of complex????lets see what it is!!!!

i am sure he was never in love with tanveer and it might be also true that he is not even of father of child..though i cant be sure.

what kind of relationship he had with nazma ,,,,still is mystery...

was it just one sided love from nazma?

was it best friend relationship but nazma fell in love with him?

was it same from both sides but somehow because of some pressure they broke up???

i was just thinking..that one day when imraan was telling nikhat about his past...we all though it was about tannu...as he told her right afterr tannu gave the good news to him...but could it be about nazma???just guessing!!!!!!!!!

i am sure imraan will not be shown as cheater ...as it will not serve the purpose of imraan-nikhat-nazma...track which could be same as rashid-dilshaad and shireen...and as a build up for clash between families..

and there is a reason why nikhat was shown so attached to imraan and and she feel in love with him...and even ayaan was getting convinced that nikhat loves imraan and imraan is not that bad...

nazma...nazma...nazma...my tomato..as zoya said you are so pretty that there would be line for hot and handsome hunks...but i am sure gul doesnt love you as much we all do😆

her love for imraan is still damn strong and she has still come over it...yes there could be possibility that she recently met imraan and get to know about his engagement not knowing who is girl..and then again it revived all her wounds and she broke down.

i don't know how makers are going to show nazma and imraan relationship...but i have a feeling they show it more string than imraan and nikhat.

asad has come a long way..and he took long time ...he always had tough times in his life bit he handled all alone...but last time someone was there for him ..yes zoya and thats what i said in my first para...someone being there for you might not make decision. easy for you..bit it certainly makes you feel that if things are not right at the moment..it will be soon.

now he is all about zoya and her happiness..and zoya deserves all this...he knows he caused a lot of pain to her ...and she always helped him ,stood by his side...now he just want to see her happy and be with her ...

asad always needed some inspiration or motive to complete life challenges..earlier it was her mother and now its zoya..he doesn't care about challenges being tough or impossible unless it makes happy his loved ones.

zoya has been the most selfless creature out of all...i don't remember when was the last time she thought of being selfish...

reason behind her search for her father..is not only her longing for father's love...it will answer questions about her mother also..which no one knows.

she knows to value what she has though and thats why she values asad and his love for her..though she wants to find her father. but not at the cost of losing what she already has..

she can never make any choice where any party gets hurt...i don't know how she is going to choose one over another when time demands that...

may be someone ( read asad) will be there for her by her side just to make her sure that she is doing right...

ohhh i would love to watch gafoor being submissive in front of his daughters's sasural wale..be it rashid and family as humiera's in laws and asad and family as zoya's sasural...

though i do belive that boy and girl family are at same platform ..but in gafoor case i want him to realise what nonsense he speaks and what he does in life
