I've heard that newbies like Surbhi get paid about 20,000-25,000. That's not much in US dollars, because 10,000 rupees equals about $400, meaning she gets paid very less.

I've also heard that doctors in India--the minimum wage is Rs. 10,000 meaning Karan earns more than doctors. 😕

Maybe. Because I remember I read it somewhere and it mentioned Kratika Sengar getting only Rs. 22,000 in Punar Vivah and she was the main lead and she has worked in a couple shows. And being Surbhi's first show, I don't think she gets paid much.
