Btw, what do you think about the stem cell therapy? Am sure you must know more than whats generally written in newspapers about it..One of my aunts had an extremely traumatic experience with cancer..She had a fibroid in her uterus and the docs wrongly diagnosed it as cancer..She was just one week away from her first chemo session but thankfully they decided to take another opinion before they took the plunge..And then the other doc was shocked to know that she was actually diagnosed with cancer..By god's grace, it turned out to be faulty diagnosis but the two weeks were pretty traumatic for them..Cancer scares the hell outta me to be honest😆

That's the problem with cancer..the diagnosis does half the job then and there...and baaki ki kasar treatment poori kar deta hai..it scares me too...Thank God man...ur aunt was really really fortunate..I wish her good health...

They have patents for genes also...I don't know if u have heard about this case..there was a case against Myriad genetics for patenting two genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 which help predetermine risk of breast and ovarian cancer...that patent implied no other company could test for or work on these genes...and it was revoked by the Supreme court later on...Myriad lost...there is a beautiful book called 'NEXT' by Michael Crichton...about the repercussions of Biotech on our future...do read if u get ur hands on it

Stem cell therapy is way too nascent right now...at this point of time it's all style and limited substance...later on..it could work...it could not...the only real successful stem cell transplants are in case of the bone marrow transplant in leukemia...

Ah yes..I remember one of my professors mentioning this..There is also this case where the patient was diagnosed with leukemia and got his spleen removed..After elaborate research, the hospital ended up patenting the cell line..So this guy sued them claiming he has complete ownership of his body parts😆 IPR is a double edged sword to be honest..You know tomatoes are injected with human tissue to increase their growth and the end product is even patented..And yeah, pigs are are also injected with human tissue to exponentially increase their size😆 There are a plethora of human rights issues involved and it gets really difficult to balance everyone's interests beyond a point..

Lol yeah. This time it will be the "Do Pal Ruka" song ringing in the BG 😆 Oh God no no no! If they show him shirtless, I'm calling that BCC whatever to complain about 4lions harming my innocent mind 😆

Hahahaha I can imagine that now. It's always like this, no? My mom and dad both are docs and I'm sure they'll have a "Are you kidding me?" moment if they ever watch DMG 😆

When I said lawyer, I meant that "Your Honour", swishy-gowns kinda lawyer who gets to debate cause I absolutely LOVE debating 😆

Ranjini is a closet Billi-an😆

Yeah am probably a closet Tannu fan and thats why the factory scene annoyed the hell outta me😆 The point is i have ranted so much about her that its kinda hard to stop all of a sudden😆 By the time i stop,am sure the bitch will come back and haunt us all over again😆
Lol..DMG made docs look like such jobless caricatures man..An insult to the profession to be honest😆
Yeah the 'Your honor' and swishy gowns part is true but you don exactly get to debate a lot..As i mentioned earlier, you have to be an awesome researcher and yeah you got to be an expert in getting adjournments..Thats the crucial part😆 The sad part is there is not much back and froth debating involved in a real court room

For me, I haven't yet completed studies lol but I really want to pursue a field that holds interest for me. I'm a person who just can't sit idly for even a minute so jobs which require you to sit in offices pouring over a bunch of numbers or something is totally not my thing. I really wish I could go forth to some field like working in the UN social services or being a detective (no kidding 😆). But if nothing comes, then being a cardio/neuro/pediatric surgeon or a PhD won't be bad either.

@Ranjini: You want to do a PhD after law? Won't it be too hectic? But I guess if you'd be pursuing IPR, it would relate with your previous field, so yeah, good luck! 😊

@Sruthi: Biotech is really resourceful and I'm sure this industry keep on growing in the upcoming future. It's already working towards your regular diseases such as diabetes. It may help out in the Cancer field too...you never know. Though it would soon start being abused too- it think it already has.

It's already done a lot...but honestly as a scientist I can tell u..Cancer evades us still😕

Word..People should know where to stop..Its scary to be honest..I wish they stop granting patents to them cos by doing so, you end up legalizing the whole thing and then there is no stopping them..

I never been wooed by tele characters before but the way KSG acted, Asad totally wooed me today.

The little shake of the head he does when Zoya tells him he should never call her fat... you can't teach or direct that,

And the way Surbhi instantly switched to bubbly and the spring in her voice... perfect. Her entire face sort of lights up and it's lovely to watch.
