No judging! And no it's not desperate, you have feelings for him and you need closure, either a yes or a no. I would say ask around to see if he has a girl but people won't keep their mouths shut and will tell him you asked. Try to casually ask a mutual friend. A good one that could help you. And it may be a bit weird at first talking to him after all this time, BUT would you rather live with a what if? You need to find out and move in girlll!

Uhmm.. I have soo many I can't even remember! Basically everything I do is just cringe worthy.. okay.. But this is really embarrassing. I can't believe I'm actually writing this. It happened like 4 years ago. I was 16 and very very naiive. Believe me on that.

So one fine day.. During lunch my friends decide to play truth or dare and wow, I'm next! So I'm told to go talk to my crush (they all knew about him) and tell him to 'rock my world' in front of his friends. It's a dare right? So I chuff up the courage and go sit with his friends. We were in the same class so it didn't really matter much anyway. But anyhow..he soon comes walking along (or strutting now I think of it) and sits at the table outside the school cafeteria with us. My friends are watching with their eager eyes, so I take a deep breath, and call him.

Me: (for name's sake..let's call him Asad) Asad..
and suddenly everyone at the table shuts up.
Him: yeah?
Me: (sweating and having cold feet. Come on..buckle up it's just a dare!) I want you to rock my world!

Silence! Honest to God..for a second..the whole table was silent and Asad looked at me like I had grown two heads! See, I'm the shy type of person who'd never use words like that.

All of a sudden the whole table burst out laughing and he was like:

uhmm.. Okay. I'm going to go get a soda.

And everyone else started laughing even harder! I actually felt my whole face go completely RED and wished there was someplace I could just go shoot myself!!! So to cover up, I was like

It's okay guys. It's just a dare. I looks pointedly at my friends who then say

'what dare? What are you talking about??'

and from that day onwards I never listened to any of my friends! Never remember having felt so embarrassed in my life!

How I Met My Boyfriend: the embarrassing edition

(Monica, this is my embarrassing life story LOL)

first year of university I told my friends that I thought the smart hot brown guy at the front of the room was my soulmate. Like honestly, he was so perfect, he looked like Harman Baweja but taller & built. and on top of that he was a genius, I have a thing for smart guys! LOL.

So I am totally besharam and started sitting at the front and talking to him. we got along amazingly well and we flirted a lot. It started as random stuff in class and then he'd randomly find me around campus and we'd talk.

And then came embarrassing moment 1! So this one time he sitting with me in the food court once. All my guy friends decided to walk by and say hi to me or walk by the table over and over again because they knew i liked him. And apparently we were meant to be because his name was Rahul and I am Anjali. So I sat there hoping he didn't notice but he did. And then one of them started singing "Anjali and Rahul sitting in a tree..." I WAS MORTIFIED. Sometimes I question how my friends got into university...

So he smiled and brushed it off. Then came the most embarrassing moment of my life. The ketchup fiasco. We were still friends at that point and he was sitting beside me and I dropped ketchup on his crotch then proceeded to dab, swipe, frantically wipe it off until I realized where my hand actually was. And this was in the middle of a full cafeteria on a table with our friends.

So I thought I was crazy and probably in the friendzone but my friends were so sure that he liked me. I tend to stress out around exams and I hated chemistry with a passion but he was good at it so he was tutoring me once. And we were playing this game, every time I got a question right I'd get to ask him a question and if I didn't he did. So I decided to be a man-figuratively- and asked him if he wanted to go on a date with me and he said...YES! So I was on cloud nine and we went to Toronto because he had never seen the CN tower and wanted to do the edge walk. Lol, so we had a near to death experience on our first date. And according to my psych textbook doing scary things, like amusement parks, on dates increases attraction because your body mistakes the fear for attraction LOLLL.

And then when we went on our second date I ended up yelling "I won't have sex with you" to him in the middle of a restaurant because my friends were so sure that he was unresistable. I am angry at the ground for not swallowing me up. I even wished for the creepy waitress to kidnap me.

Then this one time he walked into my dorm which me and my two friends shared and I was in the middle of walking from the bathroom into my room. In my bra. I think my whole body was red, that's how embarrassed I was.

And then another time I fell asleep on the couch on movie night and apparently mumbled his name in my sleep like a hundred times.

But I guess he is crazy because he doesn't think I am a total doorknob and we've been going out for like half a year now. apparently all those embarrassing moments make me a very cute bumbling idiot!

YES! Well then you shall forget this ASSHOLE or put a plan into action. I shall outline the general "he doesn't even care about me plan"

Step 1: Small talk, start having random conversations with him. The more random the better because he will be like "what is going on" which will lead him to follow you around/talk to you to figure out what's going on in your head.

Step 2: Charm him with your amazing personality. I've noticed over the years that guys hate hate hate girls that run after them. So do not under no circumstances do that. But be a friend, but not too friendly because we do not want to get friend-zoned.

Step 3: Charm him with your beauty. After a few days of normal clothes wear an outfit that makes you look amazing. Fancy hairstyle, a little bit of makeup and a HUGE SMILE.

Step 4: by now you are probably good friends and have worked up to causal flirting. PS. FLIRTING IS THE KEY! But be coy about it. And then BAM, start ignoring him and pay attention to another guy friend. This will confuzzle him. A lot. Boys are possessive, even of their "friends". But the key to this step is random bouts of not ignoring him!

Step 5: if he's smart he'll start falling for you ( because you are amazing! And you have implemented a plan). After a few days of ignoring him start flirting again. AND TADAAA! He shall fall for you.

And then if he's the one you can get married and invite me to your wedding. And name your first child after me. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Kay, I get carried away!
