@QH being modern mahabharat.. Do you think Gul is capable of pulling it off?.. Judging by her goals, i don't think so.. Her aim is not to deliver a good story, but to gain TRPs...

Thanks Nishita. I don't mean the Mahabharata in literal sense but in the sense of a family saga with two warring brothers, clashes, evil vs good etc...yes, TRPs will of course guide Gul but I think she will keep her main storyline the same. It's working for her and will continue to work for her as long as the narrative is gripping

Mahabharata is all about actions and consequences (What we call Karma)..Nobody can escape their karma.. But the problem with today's TV (including Gul's shows) is you don't see appropriate consequences for the evil actions. What do you think is going to happen to Tanveer or Razia after their truth is revealed..? I'll tell you.. nothing.. they'll be thrown out the house...max to max they'll be in jail for 2 days and manage to get out... (Because you need them to create high drama you see) The good people are expected to be too good to the extent of forgiving the evil..(Just because they are good) If that had happened in mahabharata, there would be no kurukshetra war... 😆

A story teller should focus on telling telling her story (karma), not on ratings (fruits) 😆

I am sure the evil will face their karma. Tanveer is soon to be thrown out and Razia has already lost her daughter to a stranger at home...these litlle battles shall continue throughout the serial. We shouldn't expect a goody goody track for too long..it will all be mixed in

and most important now will be getting less KaBhi interviews since zoe will move to paagalkhana😆

RK, in her initial interview, Gul did say this is a family saga. If I recall, she has never called it a rom com

Agreed, a proper drama has elements of everything, not just love! But dont make it gross! If by clash, Gul is referring to Zoya being the bone of contention, then I am terribly disappointed! If they showed ZoYaan at the start and then AsYa, it would have been fine! After gradually building AsYa relationship, if they show Zoya marrying Ayaan first, it's really gross. All the dialogues by Zoya about how marriage is important to her, the heartfelt duas, Ajmer etc., are all meaningless.

In fact, the ta umr dialogue by Zoya on the day before her nikaah struck me as foreshadowing the track with Ayaan. Even though she might not love Ayaan, she will want to nibhao the nikaah with him and when Ayaan calls off the nikaah that will anger her a lot...it's an irony but that's certainly possible

Why can't they show some other kind of clash? Ayaan is as close to Nikhat as Asad is to Najma. If Nikhat is heartbroken due to Tanveer Imraan fiasco, will Ayaan blame Asad? I doubt it. Rashid-Shireen? Probably not. Say partial truth is out about gudiya factory and only the victim's identity is revealed. Will Asad trying to get justice for Zoya and her Mom and pursue Rashid again? Sigh, weak. Only major thing that will bring the two brothers apart is Zoya: considering Asad loves her tremendously.

certainly possible...this story has a lot of potential but I am just going by the original permise and dargah scene...all the initial dialogues pointed to this clash. I would love to see other reasons for the clash, but I don't think it's our choice..it's Gul's story

If Ayaan had to fall for Zoya, why show the Rajni track?! Gul's not playing fair and keeping all options open!

That's the irony again...Zoya might be an initial infatuation but later he will realize his love for Humeira

Well, I am ready for Mahabharata. We already had the Vastraharan, albeit instead of Draupadi, it ended up being Arjun aka Asad! 😆 But, please no panchali and brothers sharing the same wife, even though Arjun wins Draupadi and is her favorite. Groan!

Mahabharat to date is the most interesting saga...it has all the masala. No character is black or white. That's why we all still love it...

I'd rather see a physical separation, Zoya move into Siddiqui home and fight for her rights. Sisters bond, Razia continues to play her games etc. but, AsYa still maintain emotional bonding. Perhaps he will break his rule and visit her in THAT house, maybe chupke chupke, through the window, like Ayaan/Zoya style!

I guess we have to watch whatever is shown. For me the essence of this show was RomCom with some drama. If that is lost, including Zoya's chulbul personality and crazy shayaris, then I guess I'll have to use my remote control differently!
