OS| Musibat

Asad rolled over to wrap his arm around Zoya's waist. As soon as Zoya felt Asad's arm around her waist, she snuggled closer to him seeking his warmth. Her head lay near his heart while his hand caressed her silky locks.

"Zoya." Said Asad.

"Mrs.Khan!"

"Asad, go away. You kept me up the whole night yesterday! Let me sleep." Grunted Zoya.

This woman won't get up this way. Thought Asad.

"Okay baby sleep." Asad kissed her forehead and evilly smirked while he went to the bathroom.

Asad filled a bucket of ice-cold water and came out of the bathroom.

He slowly went to Zoya's side of the bed and said 1, 2, 3 and NOW! He dumped the bucket of water on Zoya's face.

"What the ****?" Screamed Zoya.

"No swearing Zoya!" Reprimanded Asad.

Zoya got off the bed and started "Allah Miyan, what's wrong with you Mr. Khan? Is that how you wake up your wife? "

"What can I do if I have a wife who sleeps like an elephant?" Chuckled Asad.

"I'm an elephant Mr.Khan?" Zoya picked up a plastic bat and threw it in Asad's direction. But Asad's reflexes were fast so he ducked it, while the bat smashed Ayaan, who was entering the room through the window. Causing him to fall down with a thud.

"Mona, please learn how to aim and throw." Sighed Ayaan.

This was the 5th time in the last 2 weeks. Ayaan would always seem to enter at the wrong time and would go home with a bruise on his face. All thanks to his Mona darling's wonderful aim.

Zoya stood rooted to the spot, while Asad rushed to the window to make sure his brother was okay.

"Im so sorry Rabert!" Said Zoya.

"Mona, it's okay." Sighed Ayaan. This was the millionth time she said sorry.

"Thank you Rabert!" Zoya hugged her brother-in-law.

"Don't you have any work to do Mona? "

"Allah Miyan! How could I forget, I was supposed to load Asad's clothes in the washing machine." Gasped Zoya.

Zoya hurried away to the laundry room, while Ayaan stood amused.

"How many clothes does Asad wear in a week?" Thought Zoya.

In front of her was a HUGE heap of clothes.

She pushed all of them in and added some liquid from a bottle that was near the machine.

"Chalo, kaam katham." Grinned Zoya.

She walked out of the laundry room to find Asad and Ayaan look wistfully at the TV.

"Bhaijaan, does Mona know how to make chicken pasta?"

"Ayaan, its Bhabi! Understood?"

"Okay, Now does she know or not?"

"Ayaan this is a secret okay?"

"Haan Bhaijaan"

"Zoya can't even make herself a cup of coffee, what will she make you chicken pasta? And yeah don't tell this to her. She will yell at you so badly that your eardrums will explode. Trust me I have experienced it."

"Ahem!"

"Zoya! Mona! Tum?" Asked the brothers.

"Asadd, baby I want to talk to you. Come to the kitchen na?" Saying this Zoya stormed away.

"Im dead." Mouthed Asad.

"How dare you tell Ayaan, that I don't know how to cook? What have you been surviving on till now? Air?"

"Zoya, I was just having fun baby."

"Don't baby me and get out of the kitchen right now Asad."

Zoya walked to the living room and said "Ayaan, you want chicken pasta right? I will make it for you!"

'Sure bhabi." Gulped Ayaan.

"I just hope I live through it."

"Did you say anything?" Glared Zoya.

"Nothing at all, you go and start cooking na."

It took Zoya 3 hours to make chicken pasta.

By the time she called Ayaan and Asad to the dining table, they looked like they were starved from the last 2 days.

"Pasta is ready."

The brothers threw wary glances at each other before they put a spoon into their mouth.

The first spoonful seemed okay, but after a while Asad's eyes started watering and Ayaan started choking.

"Zoya, what did you add in this?"

"Kyun? It's nice na?" Smiled Zoya.

That's it Ayaan couldn't take it anymore. He spit the food on to the dining table.

"Mona, you added mirchi in this. So much that I can use it for one whole month."

Zoya's mouth opened and closed. That's all she managed to do.

Asad being the gentlemen excused himself from the table and went running to the bathroom.

*Flashback*

Zoya went hunting around for spices and she saw a bottle that said oregano. She took that bottle and emptied it in the pan. Little did she know that Phuphi had put mirchi in that after the seasoning got over.

Even when she tasted it, she didn't find anything odd. The poor girl.

*Flashback ends*

"Achaaa, that's what happened." Said Zoya.

"Zoyaa, where is my blue tie?" Yelled Asad.

"It's in the laundry room, I'll get it Asad."

"Quickly Zoya, I have a dinner meeting to attend. And haan my white shirt also."

Zoya went into the laundry room and out the clothes in a basket and took them to their room.

She dumped all the clothes on the bed, while leaving she said "Asad they are on the bed."

"Thanks Zoya!" Shouted Asad from the shower.

"ZOYA!" Screamed Asad.

"What is it Asad?"

"Why are my clothes smelling like your shampoo?"

"Asad use your brain, why will they smell like my shampoo? I added liquid from the bottle beside the washing machine."

"Get me the bottle Zoya." Asad was frustrated beyond limits now.

Zoya came with the bottle and handed it over to Asad.

"Zoya can't you read? It says Herbal Essences! Not Washing Liquid." Asad was massaging his temples.

"It was a blue bottle soo.."

"Not every bottle is washing liquid Zoya! When will you learn?" Asad pinches his nose.

"From tomorrow, pakka!"

"When does that tomorrow come?" Grunted Asad.

Zoya just seen Asad off and was going to relax when she remembered she had to measure the door width for those new mesh screens she ordered.

She brought out a thin thread and tied it to both the ends of the door and went to get a measuring tape.

"Haan Nikkat, I'm just leaving. I'll be there in 15 minutes." Said Ayaan.

Ayaan walked to the front door oblivious to the thread that Zoya tied there.

And boom Ayaan was on the floor again.

Ayaan sighed.

Asad was just about to take his car out when he realized that he left his car keys on the hook outside the main door. He rushed towards the house to find Ayaan sleeping on the floor and nursing another bruise on his forehead.

"Ayaan?"

"Don't know bhaijaan." Sighed Ayaan.

Asad's sharp eyes saw the thin thread and understood what might have happened. He remembered that Zoya had ordered mesh doors and had asked him to measure the width of it, but he refused.

He helped Ayaan off the floor and took him to his car.

When both of them were seated.

Asad said "Now you you understand why I call her Musibat?" Ayaan chuckled in response.

Poor Zoya! She was oblivious to what happened. She came measured her door and went back inside.
