Yes, Asad was in agony, pain, guilt which he can not live with.. He just wants to end his life because he can not live with this pain even for one day.. 17 years before a 10 years old boy was in pain but he managed to come out of it, though in damaged state but he did.. but today he can not, he does not know how to deal with it so he went to a man who can tell him how to be happy , how to live even after betraying yor love.. Asad was selfish enough to go to a man and ask to give him pain killer ,whom he hates the most.Today his pain is much more than his ego so he broke down in front of Rashid and only asked him the way to come out of it,..Asad wants to come out of it, he thinks he deserve this pain but like all selfish human being he wants to lessen his pain somehow and if it can be done through Rashid , be it..

It didn't come out right. Till then even I was of the same opinion that she didn't have much to do. That scene changed it all. It didn't come out right.
