There are many things that I want UKA to add into the show. Obviously, the top ones are SaChi moving out, Renuka finding out the truth, Roshni getting exposed, Deshmukhs getting their 27 lakhs back, SaChi getting rich. These are big things that I am sure everyone, even the makers, know are pending.
But since UKA is planning to drag them till eternity and only add in sub-tracks, these are some sub-tracks that may actually be good for UKA than what they have been recently serving.
- UKA lacks romance and angst big time. Like, proper angst. Not stupid angst like the drunk video track. Maybe something small like Sailee visiting her maika for a few days and Sachin following her because they're inseparable. It should give the light hearted and cute vibe from the song lyrics "thumak thumak janiye mahiye de naal" that's popular right now. I think OG had a similar track that UKA replaced with the birthday track. Maybe they can implement it now?
- Can we get Sudhakar back? I like him more as a villain than chomu Chitti who is literally being an enemy to SaChi for petty reasons. Sudhakar's reasoning seems more logical and deranged, and Sachin's enmity with this guy was on a personal level. I genuinely hated him so I liked seeing him getting violently bashed, but with Chitti I don't feel anything. Sudhakar is a better and more entertaining villain in my opinion.
- Anyone remember Sachin's ex-girlfriend? Or Monty? Or Vinod (the guy from the jewelry store in episode 2 or something)? I mean, a cute jealousy track would be fun. Nothing severe or crazy like the EMA obsession going around, but border-lining more towards setting boundaries and possessiveness. It should be something natural; interactions that happen due to professional reasons, but it creates tension.
- Something that emphasizes the importance of keeping a balance between work and marriage. Initially, it was always about Sailee prioritizing her family problems which made her lose tenders, but what if they make it the other way around. I think balance is important, or at least understanding what should be prioritized at what time and going through with it.
- A proper honeymoon track similar to the first birthday, completely lead-centric. This could be also be focused on Sachin's birthday which is ignored in the show. I think there should be something special done that brings out why he hated his birthday. As his past is already revealed, it would be special.
- Sachin actually starting his own driving school and earning money. The importance of balancing wife and work could also be shown in this track.
- Sailee going to school. Seeing that she passed with distinction, it only makes sense for her to complete her education. She also very young so it wouldn't be weird. This could actually open the show to a lot more tracks.
When we actually get to SaChi leaving home, I really hope the show goes the Pavitra Rishta or the Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum way where the leads start from scratch and grow rich together after leaving home. It shouldn't be instant wealth either. Rags to riches with no separation or free forgiveness. The antagonists should grovel and SaChi should hold a grudge, especially after they have made it in life.
There are so many good tracks that could be explored in UKA. I just don't understand why the show wants to revolve around the parallel leads/side characters and force it into becoming an ensemble. Let the leads be grey and sort out their own mess. Allow them to have flaws and stop making them completely white. Let them make mistakes, learn from them, and move on. Not preach and act mahaan all the time.
