Qubool Hai finally upped the ante on Friday. The episode was not perfect but it was a definite step-up over Thursday. Had we continued at the same pace of story-telling or editing of Thursday, that may have very well been the last QH episode for me. However, in retrospect, the episode and everything that will follow and has, is falling in place.
Ajmer started off with that beautiful prayer from Asad for his Zoya. To me this has already etched out the course of AsYa's emotional journey. No, I am not going to dispute the fact that there will be trials and tribulations peppered on this road but if the significance of Ajmer is that your wish is granted then Asad should ideally have Zoya back.
Asad is a man who has been wronged and betrayed by a woman he trusted, albeit blindly. However, his blindness and yes sometimes his stupidity does not warrant the punishment he has inevitably received. Asad, for all his flaws, is a good man. He is suffering a fate he does not deserve, which brings me back to the prayer. Keeping in significance of Ajmer, by the end of all the various murder attempts and near misses Asad and Zoya should reunite. When I say this, I also mean that the possibility of another third angle (read : Zoyaan) would destroy the sanctity of that prayer and any separation henceforth should be one where neither Asad nor Zoya have emotionally harmed each other.
Asad prayed for his life, Zoya, back. As a kind-hearted man who has never even made an attempt to harm someone else, Allah should grant him his wish. Should AsYa come back reconciled and break up soon after, the prayer will effectively have been spit on. Is God selfish, vindictive and vengeful in Gul Khan's world? From spoiler segments, we already know that Tanveer is going to reveal that Zoya's father is alive. She has already made the mistake that will completely destroy her. Whatever happens between now and the final revelation of Gaffur, one thing is certain, Tanveer has painted a massive target on her back and in this instance Razia is not going to miss.
