Hey guys, I started writing a OS about 3 weeks ago, and finally finished it today,
It's short, but hope you all like it
Enjoy :)
.
He held her hand in his, and slowly looked up to her, his eyes meeting her tearful ones
"You're the only one that matters to me." He whispered
She closed her eyes, and didn't hesitate even a bit, before jumping into his arms
.
Zoya sat in the rocking chair, the lights were turned off and the balcony door was open making the curtains blow softly.
The whole house was quiet; with the exception of the ticking clock and the crickets chirping outside.
She closed her, a soft smile spread across her lips
"Lateagain." She said under her breath
Not even a second after the bedroom door slowly opened.
She closed her eyes, pretending to be a sleep, but heard his light footsteps as he walked across the dark room.
He stood in front of her and gazed down at her.
He crouched down and picked her up into his arms
She smiled as she tightened her arms around his neck, her eyes still shut tight.
He placed her on the bed and slowly covered her with the blanket.
She could feel his eyes on her.
He kissed her forehead and walked away.
The bathroom door close and Zoya slowly opened her eyes; she looked at the door and the light coming from the other side.
She hoped he wasn't still mad because of their fight this morning.
Letting out a deep breath, she snuggled into her pillow and stared at the door for as long as her eyes were open.
.
The constant chirping of the births finally irritated her enough, that she opened her eyes.
She sat up onto the bed, yawning and rubbing her eyes
She looked besides her empty
She wasn't surprised at all; she was used to waking up to a cold side.
She stood onto the floor and walked across to the balcony and slid the door open.
He never liked when the balcony door was open, it lets the cold in, he would say.
The breeze outside was refreshing and the chirping of bird were like music to hr ears. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.
The truth was Asad never had time for her anymore, he was always busy at the office, but whenever he did stay home he was always on the laptop, sometimes he doesn't even realize if he was hungry or not.
They've been married for three years now but still Zoya felt they weren't married; he seemed so close yet so far. They had fights constantly over the same topic "Why don't you have time for me?"
..
Asad sat in his cabin, is head buried in his hands, and every now and then he rubbed his temple.
He sat straight and looked at the photo frame on his desk
Taking it in his hands he managed to smile at it, Zoya
"This is all for you"
He looked down at the contract on his desk
...
"Asad, you know what my biggest dream is?"
"What? Oh I know to marry me nah?" He said winking at her
She rolled her eyes
"Shut up..."
He let out a laugh
"Okay, tell me what?
" I want to be known in this world, I want to help everyone. I wanna take in kids who have no one in the world you know like me."
Asad frowned
"Like you?"
"I'm an orphan, and Aapi took me in, but not everyone has someone like that in their life"
"I'm sure your dream will come true someday" Asad replied and he turned and looked up at the sky
...
"Someday" He repeated.
Picking up the pen he quickly signed his name one the provided line and closed the file
...
Zoya sat on the front porch of the house, looking through a magazine. The sky was getting dark as rain clouds gathered
Just as she was about the head inside, Asad' car drove into the driveway.
Zoya smiles as he stepped out, phone glued to his ear.
"Hmmm, yeah okay I'll call you back"
He walked to her
"Hi" He said and started walking in
Zoya followed
"You're early today, what's up?"
Asad held his neck and cracked it side to side
"Uhh, finished the work early that's it"
Zoya took his coat
"The why don't we go out today, I don't remember-"
"Sorry I have some things to wrap up" He said cutting in
Zoya's smiled faded
"but you just said you finished the work.." She said softly
"I finished work at the office; I still have things to get done"
Zoya closed her eyes, trying to stop herself from crying
Asad was about to head upstairs, when he heard her slightly sob.
He turned
"Zoy-"
"I had enough I had enough!" She yelled
He stepped back because of her sudden anger
"You never have time for me, never! It was never supposed to be like this"
"Hey listen Zoya I-"
"I don't want to hear it!" She threw his coat in his face and ran out the door
"Zoya!" Asad yelled behind her
The front door banged close and he just stood there shocked
A couple of minutes later he ran out also, she sky was getting darker by each second, the sky roaring with thunder and wind blew.
People outside seemed in a rush to get home, there was a storm brewing
Asad ran throughout the streets calling Zoya constantly who kept disconnecting every time. He ran his fingers through his hair and dialed Zoya once again
...
Zoya sat in the car, driving no where and her eyes were blurred in tears, as she went to wipe them away, she stared into headlights of a truck.
...
Zoya lie on the ground, she could feel the blood sliding down her face
She slowly turned her head to see the truck drive away; her phone ringing constantly, her vision was blurry, her body hurt, and she could hear her faint heart beatbut she slowly brought the phone to her ear
"Asad" She whispered
"Zoya where, where are you!"
Asad stood phone to his ear, hair a mess
"Zoya where, where are you!"
He heard her talking in deep breaths as if she was crying
"Asad when you're crying and bleeding, it feels uncomfortable, you know?"
His eyes widened as his concern grew, his heart was pounding
"Zoya-"
"I'm I'm really sorry Asadforgive me"
Asad held his head
"I forgive you..Zoya, I should be sorry, I love you"
"I love you too"
Asad eyes were getting blurred by the tears in his eyes
Zoya smiled and closed her eyes
"I'll always love you Asad"
There was silence from both sides
Asad rubbed his eyes
"Zoya? Zoya Zoya.."
Silence
"ZoZoy..a" The phone slipped out of his hands and fell to the ground, his body grew numb and he fell to his knees, the tears slowly slid out of his eyes and soon the sky started crying
...
Asad cut the red ribbon in the front gate, and the audience started clapping, pictures were being clicked and the media were recording him.
He smiled slightly and walked in
A reported started talking
"As you can see now, Asad Ahmed Khan had finally opened the gates to the new orphanage, a gift for his late wife Zoya Ahmed Khan.."
..
