The Sleeveless Relationship: June 13
Who would have thought that Asad's last gift- the sleeveless suit would turn out to be the most significant gift in their relationship (to date)?
Since the beginning of the show, we have always seen Zoya in full sleeved attires. Metaphorically speaking, the sleeve has represented that thin veil or wall that has separated her from Asad. The sleeve has hidden her feelings, her past, her true character from Asad but the moment, the sleeve came off, it seems like that wall of expectations, fear and doubts that Asad had about her, has also started crumbling one by one.
Credit goes to Asad for gifting her the outfit and then confronting her directly about her ignoring his gift. Zoya realized how much that gift meant to him and without hesitation, she changed into the suit and revealed not only her past but her strength of true character to him.
If the sleeve had not come off, we would have never heard these dialogues from Asad:
"Aap iske saath bhi utni hi khubsoorat hain."
"Bahut achchi lag rahi hain." (in response to Zoya's question- main kaisi lag rahi hoon)
"Koi uljhan nahin hai." (To Tanveer after she raised doubts about his feelings regarding the nikaah)
and then of course his epic dialogue to Tanveer last night about Zoya- you should learn something from Zoya
Similarly, the sleeveless relationship has helped Zoya-
- realize that Asad has accepted her the way she is
-muster courage to confront Tanvere, challenge her evil intentions
-say, "Mr Khan sirf mere hain aur mere hi rahenge."
-endure the pain she will incur after the acid is applied on her hands tomorrow
-indirectly helped her accept that she loves him (Tanu gets the credit for this too)
I love the way the writers have used a simple metaphor to define their relationship.
We have also gotten a glimpse into the future of their love story after this episode.
- Asad will not hesitate to defend Zoya in public
-In future when the Razia-Ghafoor nexus will insult Zoya, Asad will be her source of strength
-Just his acceptance of her is enough for Zoya to reciprocate his love and endure anything for Asad.
-There is no need of a formal ILU confrontation
-No one, mark it no one will be able to break their bond. Today, Jammy gave Tanu a warning and I am sure when the real truth is out, he won't stop there- Tanu better be ready to run for her life and dignity (if any is left)

My prediction:
A big twist right before the nikaah. Tanu's evil SR plan? It will fall flat as Zoya will never believe Tanu's story wven if Asad does. Zoya will save Asad from Tanu. Tanu will then try to hurt Zoya. Asad will save her then...and then we get a dramatic nikaah sequence.
