Just then Zoya felt cold metal pressed against her "I will kill you just like how I killed your mother"..

At that same moment Asad a cold hand squeeze his heart, he knew something was wrong. He couldn't breathe. He looked around and he could not see Zoya. "ZOYA!!!" he screamed. The family came rushing to him. Asad began looking frantically shouting Zoya and looking all over the hall. The family was also looking everywhere. They all met in the hall again. Asad searched their faces for some clue that Zoya is okay, but everyone had blank looks on their faces. This felt like Mangalpur all over again. Asad shouted ZOYA!! Asad dropped to his knees. Everyone had always seen Asad strong and fearless, it broke their hearts to see Asad this way, his despair and fear was evident on his face. Siddiqi sahib touched Asad on his shoulder and handed him the very same green chunri that protected Zoya always. Asad looked at Siddiqi sahib and took the chunri and held it to you chest and prayed silently that Zoya and Aakeer was safe. ZOYA!!!! Shouted Asad again. The entire family was now in tears. Ayaan sat next to his brother with his hand on his shoulder. Rashid could not see his son like this. Rashid kneeled down besides Asad and touched his shoulder tentatively. Asad looked at his father with his blood shot tear filled eyes, and whispered "abbu". Rashid pulled Asad into an embrace and comforted his son. Najma, Nikhat and Nuzhat held onto Dilshaad. Shirin held onto Humera. Rashid made Asad look at him and said "Beta, you have to be strong for Zoya and Aakeer" comforted Rashid, "Abbu, I can't lose Zoya again. I can't lose my son abbu" cried Asad. Rashid could see Asad was hurting, "beta, Asad! Look at me" said Rashid, Rashid wiped Asad's tears and straightened his hair "Asad, you are my lion. This family's eldest son, you cannot break down like this. This family and more importantly Zoya and Aakeer are counting on you as always to take care of them. This family needs their eldest son now. That son that always put this family first and is their protector" said Rashid. Asad looked at his father, his father's words had hit home. Asad snapped back to Asad Ahmed Khan. He stood up and wrapped he chunri around his hand and looked at his family. They were counting on him. Just then Arjun rushed to Asad and said "The basement". Asad was moving towards the basement even before Arjun finished the sentence. Asad was at the basement door when he saw something shining on the handle. It was Zoya's pendent, the same one he just put on for her last night and the same pendent that she swore never to take off. Asad knew they were in the right direction. Asad touched the pendent slowly and gestured to the family for no one to follow him and Arjun down. Needless to say no one listened.

Zoya was frozen as the cold metal of the gun was pressed against her back. "I will kill you just like I killed your mother" was all Zoya could her ringing in her ears. Razia pushed Zoya further into the room. Tanveer took a step back and held onto a crying Aakeer so Zoya couldn't touch Aakeer. Aakeer was Tanveer's protection. Zoya turned around and faced her attacker. Razia was now pointing the gun to Zoya. Razia smirked and said "This is like de ja vu. You mother had the same expression you have now." Razia laughed and continued "You think I would like you walk in and take everything that this mine and daughters. I worked too hard for all this. You abbu may feel guilty for what he did but I am most certainly not." Zoya was too shocked "My abbu, "stuttered Zoya, refusing to believe what her brain was telling her. "Yes, your abbu! Seeing that you going to die I might as well tell you the whole story" smiled Razia evilly. Unknown to Razia, she had an audience now. Arjun looked behind him and motioned for everyone to be quiet. Arjun pulled out his cell phone and began recording. Asad was ready to pounce on Razia, his fury doubled when he saw Tanveer shouting at Aakeer , trying to keep him quiet. Arjun and Ayaan held Asad back. Rashid held Asad by the shoulder stopping him. Razia laughed. "Your abbu only married Zainab, you ammi for her money. He used to work for your grandfather but was very poor. You ammi fell in love with him but what she didn't know was that he was already engaged to me. You abbu was going to tell Zainab the truth, but I stopped him. I told him to get married to Zainab, so we will get all her money. At first he didn't agree - but eventually I convinced him. They got married. And your grandfather died leaving all his wealth and property to Zainab. This was perfect. Exactly how I wanted it but I could see you abbu distancing himself from me and becoming closer to Zainab, he began to love her. And then you were born. You became the centre of his universe and he forgot all about me. Zainab, your abbu and you were a happy family, it made me sick Your abbu thought I had excepted defeat and went away. But I gave up too much to let Zainab win. One day I went to your abbu and created such a scene that poor Zainab felt for it, you will know that scene all too well. Siddiqi sahib was furious now and Humera was shocked at how evil her mother was. Humera held her father's hand. "Anyway after all that, Zainab took you and left. You abbu was devastated. I stabbed your mother repeatedly I only stopped when I felt her warm blood run down my arms" Razia touched her arms as if she was still feeling the blood. Zoya cried loudly now Razia laughed at Zoya and said "you were crying just like this that night. You irritated me then as well." Zoya remembered and asked "how did you get Rashid abbu involved". Razia looked surprised at Zoya, "Well seeing that you are going to die and I have told you most of it. Rashid miya used to work for abbu. And he wanted to get rich quick. So I told him all he had to do was set this dollhouse on fire. I explained to him how we needed the insurance money to start the new business. I convinced him that is was an empty factory that there was no one inside. Bechara Rashid miya, didn't know Zainab and you were in the factory. And set the factory alight. I off course knew I couldn't trust him so I took pictures, as insurance for him to keep his mouth shut. It's a good thing I did because a few months later I blackmailed him into marrying Shirin." Shirin was shocked. Rashid never loved her; he was blackmailed into marrying her. Whilst eyes were diverted from him, Asad slowly hung the pendent on a shelf. "The fire department never found your ammi's body , I had hid it in such a way that it will burn quickly but not where everyone could see. I had made plans for you to die with your ammi as well. I gave a sleeping pill. But I guess it didn't work and you woke up and only got burned alittle. I was quite shocked when they brought you to your abbu. I convinced him that for your own safety he should send you away. I personally took you to the orphanage. I didn't tell the mulana who you were just that I found you. A few days later, I came back to finish you but I was told that you were adopted and taken to America. Sometimes Allah plays wonderful games. I came back and convinced your abbu to get married. Now that you were missing along with your ammi, the world knew she took you and run away. Automatically the state made everything your abbu's. And we were happy. I finally got what I wanted. Zoya looked at Razia with all the anger and fury. She lounged forward but Razia aimed the gun towards Zoya. Zoya felt a light hit her eye. She followed the light and saw her pendent. Zoya smiled. Razia was surprised. "You dying time has come and you smiling" asked Razia. Zoya knee all hell was about to break. Zoya looked at Razia and said "Even a dying person gets a last request." Razia was surprised she looked at Zoya and said "Because I am such a kind person and today is Eid - what do you want" asked Razia. "I would like to hold my son" asked Zoya loudly - making sure Asad heard her so he knew Aakeer was safe. Tanveer began to protest, "He is my son, how dare you". Razia just pushed Tanveer and handed Aakeer to Zoya. Aakeer immediately stopped crying. Zoya kissed Aakeer all over. Tanveer and Razia was too busy trying to get Aakeer away from Zoya's grip when they didn't notice the basement full up with the observers. "Razia Siddiqi, you are under arrest for the murder of Zainab Siddiqi and the attempted murder of Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan" announced Arjun pulling out his handcuffs. Razia spun around with her hand around Zoya and the gun to Zoya's temple. Zoya looked around but could not see Asad and Ayaan, Zoya held onto Aakeer tighter. "Drop it" said Arjun. Razia laughed and said "So you all have heard everything. Well that good finally I don't have to pretend anymore." Humera looked at her mother and said "ammi, please put down the gun and let baji go, ammi please for me" pleaded Humera to her mother. Rashid watched Asad and Ayaan go around the back they were stepping towards Razia and Tanveer. Razia looked at Humera and said "Humera beta, I am doing all this for you. You know your abbu wanted to give everything to this Zoya"explained Razia with a crazy look in her eyes. "Ammi it was never ours" pleaded Humera "Put the gun down ammi please". Siddiqi sahib stood besides Humera "Razia, let Zoya go" he pleaded. Tanveer pulled Aakeer out of Zoya's arms. Tanveer knew as long as she had Aakeer she was safe. Razia saw Arjun take a step closer, "Don't come any closer, I will shoot her" shouted Razia. Razia had her finger on the trigger. Just then all hell broke loose Asad and Ayaan reached Tanveer and Razia, Siddiqi sahib pushed Humera to Shirin and rushed forward to Zoya. Ayaan pushed Tanveer and grabbed Aakeer, whilst Asad pushed Razia's hand up and pushed Zoya towards Siddiq sahib who was the closest. The gun fired and the light went off. Asad and Razia scrambled for the gun. Razia found a iron rod and hit Asad on the head and pushed him off. Siddiqi sahib kissed Zoya's head and shoved her towards Rashid and rushed forward just as Razia found the gun. Razia fired blindly and Siddiqi sahib was fell back. Razia felt him drop against her. She let out a scream. In the dim light Humera and Zoya screamed abbu. Rashid was holding the woman back. Razia looked around in the dim light to find Zoya, she had nothing to lose now Razia finally saw Zoya. She was behind Rashid and Rashid was pushing everyone back up the stairs to safety. Asad finally shook away the dizziness and saw Razia with the gun raised towards Zoya, Razia had a crazed smile on her face. Arjun found the light switch and turned the lights on. Asad got up and began to rush towards Razia. Dilshaad turned at the same time and started moving down the stairs, Dilshaad shouted ZOYA!! Razia smiled and pulled the trigger as the shot was fired; Asad hit Razia with the same rod over her head. Zoya felt no pain just warm blood on her hands. Zoya slowly lifted her bloody hands, Asad froze, no one moved everyone was staring at Zoya...time stood still
