Guyz i know many ppl r debating over this whole mini-skirt issue...and i totally agree tht pplz character and stuff shudnt be judged by their clothes...regardless of whether u r hindu muslim seekh christian etc..and tht doesn't explain ur tehzeeb either...but here i believe the problem is different...

i understand gul wants to show modern muslims...but (again im desi too so do not bash) this is a forever ongoing problem for desi ppl...they cant differentiate btw religion and culture and i feel gul is doing the same...

MINISKIRTS- are FORBIDDEN/HARAM in islam...to show ur legs is a sin in islam...and im sorry to say but wht zoya was wearing was not DECENT and i can understand asad yeling...culture has nothing to do with it..i really do not understand when ppl say but shes american not indian bcuz religion dsnt change with continents...JEANS is a total diff issue ur skin is not showin here...for other religions i hv no problems bcuz they might be allowed to wear mini-skirts...but here gul cannot show any progressiveness bcuz its a religious FACT tht u cant wear it...there r sm things tht dnt change for liberal-traditional ppl and skin show is one of them...jus the whole shalwar/kameez/sari vs jeans is progressive enough...if skin show is a choice? then choosing prophets can be a choice too for liberal vs traditional muslims...

im a muslim...i was born RAISED in canada my whole life...my family is BEYOND traditional even though they dnt stop us...they in their hearts dnt approove of jeans either but they r traditional im liberal I FIND NOTHING wrong with it...so i wear it...but i dnt wear short sleeves or mini skirts not even if i want to bcuz ive done my research and ive found my facts...

@ the same time...gul is showing total desi hypocrisy like all other desi/traditional person..bcuz when zoya wore lehngas @ her wedding func...or the saris asad gave her...were totallly backless her stomach was showing but apparently (LIKE ALL BROWN PPL) they find tht to be full of tehzeeb and nothing wrong with it...

THIS IS JUS MY OPINION...and i wanted to state a fact abt muslims...so no bashing...jus share ur views.

thank you for this because everyone here is misunderstanding the people standing up against this it has nothing to do with modernism it is about what the religion is and if they can't portray it right well then do not portray it at all

Listen hon i do agree that every person has their view and you must feel your right. Although am not a muslim but am born in the city of Nawabs - Lucknow so many of my muslim girlfriends here and one in paticular wear short skirts, dresses and with the permission of her family despite being a Muslim they are Okay with it. Also there are many bollywood and television actresses who are muslin and wear short clothes, then what are you going to say about that... Listen i think its a matter of perspective and every one has there own way of interpreting things.

Once Dilshad said to Asad that there is nothing wrong with Zoya wearing jeans because she is not revealing anything. But know she wore the mini skirt wich reaveals most of her legs. Which like you said is haram in Islam no matter where you live or good your intentions are haram is haram. It's forbidden. I hope Dilshaad explains this to her like a mother in law.

I agree with you but as the TM already said acc to the religion its is striclty forbidden in Islam to wear revealing clothes for a woman. God knows what this Gul is showing??If she wants to show an islamic based show then do it properly and not make a hypocrisy or disrespect it😡

i understand wht ur saying even in canada america ALOT of muslim girls wear tht kinda stuff im not denying it..muslims..infact MAJORITY of muslims all around the world do not follow it...they wear such clothes...but the thing here is that media is a platform...TV tv shows its a platform to put across a message its an opportunity...and its a RESPONSIBILITY...if gul took such a risky chance of portraying a religion..tht too such a controversial religion like islam...which is practically the hottest topic in media...dnt u think she shud do full justice to it?? i mean when i watch indian shows...i believe EVERYTHING they tell abt hindu cultures and customs...and thts how i know stuff abt it..so obviously ppl who dont know abt islam r gonna believe EVERYTHING they see so it was guls responsibility to show islam in its true sense...im all for liberal islam..but in LIMITS..and mini skirts is out of question..i thought QH wud end misconceptions and misbeliefs abt islam..like the quran khaani episode where dilshad spoke up to those ladies i was like 👏 but now im like ...🤢
