Was just lying down thinking about today's episode and this came to mind. 😊
I want him to bring a friend of Zoya's who she hasn't seen in a while.
Here's how I imagine it:
Zoya's Jiju meets Zoya's NY friend on the plane to India and they reconnect. Jiju tells him that Zoya's getting married after he asks how Zoya is.
He's headed to Bhopal for business too and asks if he can accompany him to see Zoya and congratulate her. Jiju wholeheartedly agrees and they reach India.
When Jiju and her friend come to the Khan residence, Zoya is surprised and happy to see her old friend again. She asks him what he's doing in Bhopal and he says business. Dilshad said that it would be nice if he could stay for the wedding as he's such a good friend of Zoya's an Appi agrees.
He asks when the wedding is and Dilshad says a few days and he says well he's there for a week and would love to attend. They ask where he's staying and he says that he was going to a hotel right from here but Dilshad invites him to stay. Asad is apprehensive about it but doesn't object.
We could have Zoya sitting outside at night thinking about her upcoming nikaah and it being nakli and what she should do. What Mr. Khan wants. All those things and her friend comes and talks with her. She shares her doubts and he gives her advice as only a good friend does and maybe holds her hand in comfort.
I want Asad to see this and then not get jealous. I don't want the jealousy angle but for Asad to see that Zoya could have a life without him. That if he isn't careful he could lose her and she could end up someone else's wife. I want Asad seeing Zoya comfortable with another male (friend) who respects her and it makes him understand how he should appreciate her in his life.
I really don't like the idea of a close friendship with his brother being that person. It leaves a bad taste. Two brothers and the same woman.
Frankly though its been funny, seeing Zoya jealous and having Asad tease her about it weakens her character a bit because it shows whether he sees it or not (but we do) how into him she is. There's nothing really showing her how he feels. And there's nothing making Asad realize her worth to him because he's not being threatened in any way with the loss of her.
Every time she's been in a situation where she is either almost hurt or leaving his emotions come out big time but as soon as she's back in his house and he sees she's safe, he retreats back into his aloof shell.
I want there to be something anything whether it be a friend or her walking out on him (before nikaah) to finally make him do something about these feelings. She constantly forgives his foot in mouth comments and I think there'll be a point where he says something he can't take back or apologize with a cup of coffee to make it up to her.
He needs some kind of wake up call to make him see her worth.
