Three different shows . Three different stages .Three different storylines. Three different team of writers with pressure to coordinate, deliver and connect all the dots. Different directors , different sets, different shooting schedules. No major story development and no major revelation.
Its always the fault of the channel who makes the PH go a 'facepalm' by suggesting a Khichdi of various different shows and they are forced to do mergers that get on everyone's nerves. To the viewers of individual shows, its simply jarring and they have no idea what is going on.
See, kudos to the direction and editing team ( they actually have it the hardest ) for managing to complete the shoot in time , editing it to the best of their abilities and sending the master tape to the channel.
Vicky, I looked forward to your post today more than the I do the other days (I wait for your post everyday :-)). I mean obviously the MS thingy went totally flat and boring. The spoilers and the articles and even the interviews of QH team about MS had more spice to it than the original MS aired.
I personally hate the mahasangams. As you rightly put, the soul of the show, the moments of the episode, the essence of the scenes, and the expressions of the actors and the momentum of the screenplay etc goes haywire when there are too many overhauls.
Why does not the channel realize this?
Coming back to our show's leads, I don't know why I missed the magic in the hug that Asad gave Zoya today. The hug that he gave during the electric shock fiasco was more emotional. I am only talking about that hug part of it (the first few seconds). After that the close up of Karan's and Zoya's emotions were as usual bang on.
These MSs get to the actors pretty obviously. I cannot understand why the channels would like to mess up with the highpoints of their super hit shows. Never mind. I loved the last scene where I felt Asad had something up his sleeve from the way he was dealing with his Tannu. Or did I read too much from his face? Never know, knowing the jerk our Asad is. But still I love you Asad :-)
What put me off completely was when an old woman provided a candle to Billo to finish her mission. I mean who was she and was her intention in helping Billo? Wasn't she pallying with Dilshaad like a long lost friend?
Finally, it is a torture for one to go through the events related to the other serials when one has not followed them at all. No offense to other serials, I am sure even they would have experienced something similar too.
