@Ankita I don't think I have made any sexist comment with all due respect, but that doesn't change the fact that there's is a thin line between friends and friends with benefits. Ofcourse Tanveer is taking full advantage of that situation . She is taking Full on benefits from Asad and Asad on the other hand although thinks that he is JUST taking care of his childhood friend their relationship DOES give a different impression to people. It's something MORE than just FRIENDSHIP, or at least CVs are trying to portray it that way.I have never ever seen any friends who misses office to take care of his childhood friend, or skips the dance practice of his own Sangeet Ceremony( which actually should be an opportunity for him to be close to Zoya whom he loves apparently)to take care of his friend. This is OTT.Its not normal. He gave Tanu shelter and food that's all. If Tanveer is not well he could have hired a nurse to take care of her or maybe some domestic help . He didn't have to spend his entire day( in suits of course) to take care of Tanveer. That's absurd and impossible.
Don't you think you're looking too much into it? Then in that case even Zoya was just a guest till a lot of time, but when Zoya got hurt/ or had problems or was depressed Asad did tend to her, then none of us said he is out of his character? Him hugging her, shouting for her, desperate for her to be fine, kissing her forehead, all should have been out of character, because just a few months into the show and with no relation between them and just being strangers Asad went out of his own character and habits with Zoya. But we do not see all of that out of place or OTT because Asad and Zoya are the main couple and obviously who would. So with Tanveer, its just concern and sympathy for a friend he has known as childhood, why is that seen so out of character. It's obviously never in the same line as he does for Zoya when she is in any danger/ ill or or going through a tragedy.
I think you're just being extremely judgmental about his character here. Only because viewers know Tanveer's true face does not mean Asad does as well dear.
And think of it, without showing all those scenes they did with Tanveer, would we get the moments between Asad Zoya? Zoya jealous, Asad smirking and smiling realizing his effect on her? Tanveer is after all a catalyst, so I for one thing her interactions with Asad should not be scrutinized so much, because we know her heart is evil and even though you may not think so, Asad's heart is clear of anything wrong towards anyone.
Then again I am not denying the faults in Asad, but I don't think the basis on which you're judging him is fair enough.
