Loved it! Aww they're already starting to bond :) I love the flashbacks.. gives their events a vivid quality. And allows me to live through them. I wonder who that guy that Zoya is afraid of is. Sounds like a real creep. Must have really messed her up if she cuts herself at the mere sound of his voice. 😭

SO I just realized I forgot to comment on this chapter. Literally smacking myself for doing something so silly.

His last entry was so sad. I love that Zoya doesn't even know him well and now through his diary feels like she's living his pain with him. How she's concerned for someone she's never met.

And Asad's frantic search for that journal. What I'm curious about (since I read the 4th chapter before I unresed 😆) is if he's not writing in the journal.. and there's not entry for over a year.. why does he carry it with him? why not leave it in his room, safely? Very curious. Wonder if that was a creative liberty so Zoya would find it, or if you did that on purpose 😛

I felt so much for both of them when Zoya blurted out that they're both equally messed up. And surprised that Zoya didn't just snap at him, but asked him for time, instead, to tell him her story. It's beautiful. Seriously in love with this story.

Yeah this does make up for the insanely late unres! 😆 If you've noticed he keeps a photograph of Najma and himself in his journal, so that is why he keeps the journal with and takes it wherever he goes!
