Zoya looks upset about something and looks like she is coming from outside.

The clips are ambiguous because if Tanveer is following her from the other side then she will only appear to be a victim not trying to kill Zoya

Maybe the lights go off and Zoya goes to fix it. Tanveer goes behind her with the knife to stab her in the dark. Zoya fixes the fuse and sees the wire going into her bathroom and starts doubting Tanveer (DBs warnings etc) Tanveer misses her chance

Zoya comes back to the function with every intention of exposing the wire fiasco and everyone's looking at her. Tanveer comes behind covered in blood and scratches and this is what Asad is responding to.

Don't think Tanveer will try to kill Zoya yet in front of everyone. She still wants to be the victim so she can get Asad's sympathy.
