Tum Hi Ho
It was a beautiful afternoon. The sun rays poured out the perfect amount of heat while the wind sent a tender breeze. The Khan Mansion was full of workers, decorating the place and preparing for the big function that was going to occur tonight, Asad and Zoya's sangeet. For the past couple of days Najma has trying to get her bhai jaan to do something special for Zoya at the sangeet but as usual Asad denied. His thinking was that if this engagement if fake then why should he be doing anything. He's had his emotions ignored and left at the bottom of his heart while he only listen to his mind. Tehzeeb and 'misfit' is all that he wants his heart to believe when he thinks of Zoya. But how could he? Whenever he would see her and get close to her, his heart starts to skip a beat, he begins to feel weird in his stomach, but for some reason, he felt at peace every time he was alone with her.
As Asad was doing some work on his laptop, his ammi walked in, interrupting his train of thought.
Dilshad: Asad, can I ask you a favor?
Asad looked up from his laptop, closed the top and answered his ammi
Asad: You don't need to ask ammi. Just tell me.
Dilshad: Can you bring Zoya to the parlor?
Asad: the Parlor? Why does she need to go there?
Dilshad: Asad. Today is both of your sangeet. For a girl, this is the happiest time of her life, these days don't ever come back. So since it is her sangeet, I had set up an appointment for her to get ready. Please bring her.
Asad rolled his eyes and rubbed his forhead.
Asad: Fine. But tell her not to take a long time. I already have a lot of work to do.
A smiled formed on his ammi's face as she left the room to go to zoya's room and inform her.
Dilshad, once again walked into the room as Zoya was talking to najma.
Dilshad: Zoya, asad will be bringing you to the parlor in 5 minutes. So take your stuff and get going, Otherwise you're going to be late!
Zoya stood up quiet quickly
Zoya: Wait what? Mr. Khan will bring me?
Dilshad: Yes. Now get ready. You know how YOUR Mr. Khan hates to wait.
She said it in a teasing way having no affect on Zoya since she was still in shock that Asad had agreed to bring her. Dilshad left the room while zoya still stood there
Najma: Oho zoy- I mean bhabi. Bhai jaan doesn't like to be kept waiting.
Zoya: Yeah because he is a jahapana and all.
The both burst out laughing.
*5 minutes later *
Zoya was already outside in the sunlight with a bag in her hand that had her clothes and jewlery in it. She had came out earlier then asad and was happy she was. At least he wouldn't complain about her being late.
After 2 minutes Asad came outside.
Asad: Thank god you're not late.
He opened the car door for her.
She sat inside the car not saying a word to his comment. She thought that this was going to be a long drive with a heartless, emotionally challenged man.
Asad was bit shocked at her silence but started the car without asking.
They drove off into the traffic, on their way to the parlour.
The whole way their Zoya was silent. Asad felt a bit afraid inside. Why is she so silent? He kept on stealing glances at zoya and noticed that the whole time she was looking out the window and up to the cloudless sky.
After about half an hour of driving, the finally reached the parlour.
Zoya got out of the car quickly. Before she left the car she looked at him.
Zoya: Thank you.
Before Asad could say anything back she shut the door.
Asad: Whats wrong with Ms.. Farooqui? It seems as though something is bothering her.
With this thought in mind he left the parking lot and went back into the chaotic traffic.
Asad had almost reached home when he noticed that Zoya had left her wallet in the car. He turned back and went to the parlour
*At the parlour*
Zoya's hair, nails and makeup was all done. All she had to do was change into her clothes. She went into the change room and changed into the clothes. While she was changing she heard some weird dark voices and a woman struggling. She quickly changed and got out of the change room to see what is happening. As she got out, a woman stood their pointing a gun at Zoya. Her face was covered but her eyes. The woman's eyes were a bit odd. The right eye was a dark brown colour while the left was white. Zoya was in fear and got Goosebumps looking at her eyes.
There was a man behind the woman holding down the lady who worked at the parlour.
Zoya was to afraid to move.
Lady: Say good bye to this world ZOYA.
Zoya was shocked
Zoya: who are you? and you do you want to kill me?
Lady: why does that matter now? You are leaving this place forever.
Zoya tried to move but the lady stopped her.
Lady: Move and I'll shoot you this second.
She froze.
The lady was ready to pull the trigger. Zoya closed her eyes. She held on to her purple and silver lehenga and pleaded to god in her head. God just save me. Help me. Please, she thought.
Just before the lady could shoot, something came along and hit her, knocking the gun out of her hand and pushing her to the floor.
To the screams of the lady, Zoya opened her eyes. There stood Asad right in front of her. His face completely had worried written all over it. They looked into each other eyes with tears. All of a sudden, the expression on Zoya's face changed. She quickly ran up to Asad and pushed him to his right. Asad was confused at her actions, but as he turned to look at her he realised why she had done such a thing. Zoya pushed him, getting herself hit by a sticky the was being held by the man. The worker of the shop had ran away, while Asad and Zoya were left alone with this man and woman.
Zoya was hit with full force on her back, causing her to fall down.
Asad: ZOYA!
He went to go and catch her but the lady came in the way.
Lady: There is no use Asad. This is your destiny. Let her die.
Asad: Who the hell are you?
He ripped the scarf off her face exposing her true identity.
Asad: TANVEER?
Tanveer smiled.
Tanveer: Surprise!
Asad was disgusted and confused.
Tanveer: Confused right? I can't see you marring Zoya. You are mine, ONLY MINE ASAD.
Asad was about to hit her but the man stopped him holding him down. Tanveer walked closer to him.
Tanveer: You're mine Asad. Only mine.
She was getting close to him when something hit Tanveer in the leg causing her to scream and fall .
As she fell, Asad saw Zoya, holding a gun in her hand. She had shot Tanveer's leg. Noticing this, Asad hit the man who was holding him down causing him to go unconscious. He looked at Zoya. She dropped the gun and ran to Asad. She hugged him tight. Asad slowly hugged Zoya back, tightly leaving no space between them.
Asad: Are you okay Zoya?
Zoya: As long as I'm in your arms, I will always be okay.
