i disagree with the topic maker.karan had the guts to speak the tryth out and because of this some people are thinking he is self centered

And I wasnt meant to be negative. I saw something...thought something and thus made a thread asking if what I felt was justified and hoping someone could give me an alternate explanation.

Did you read my thread btw?? I didn;t think I presented it in a negative manner. I presented it in a this is what I saw and this is what I thought about it manner...tried to atleast analyze it. I wasnt just making claims without any thought process to back me up...

Btw, is there a rule that you can only create so called POSITIVE threads...you know those threads where you praise KSG as if he is the moon. Is that all we are allowed to do here on IF? Can we not have a discussion about something other than that?

ok sorry for being rude but if you see on QH forums their will be more of bashing of and less of praising post for ksg so i was really sad and said those words sorry for that but honestly speaking i never praise but i do defend him:).

@Nisha first I want to clarify that I am not A KSGian or not blind fan of any actors. I didn't even watch any shows before IPK and now QH and even now I am not remotely biased towards any of these leads.
I just watched the interview and here's my take.I think This guy is very transparent and his interview honest. I never saw any personal interview of Karan or his wife before. Generally I stick to interviews and segments related to the show. Somehow I like to admire and follow actors as the character they play not otherwise. I broke my rule today since I observed so many discussions regarding his interview and decided to check out myself.
I think he kinda spoke what he feels and that's unique. Normally in today's world people feel something and say something else altogether which he didn't do atleast in this interview.Rest I don't know how he is as a person as I am not interested .
I know for a fact that award functions in India are not GENUINE. None of them. They are rigged and based on so many factors but certainly not ONLY voting as the organizers claim often.
I am not saying the other actor did not deserve the award . He might have mainly because I heard that particular show is going on for long and ofcourse people might vote more but that incident did not change the fact that the award functions are mostly just a Show off , considered as a tv show to gain TRP and rigged big time.
I also did not feel this guy Karan was frustrated only because he did not get the award himself. He was speaking for many others who feel same but hesitated to speak onscreen. Just my POV. Yes some might feel he sounded like a sore looser but I felt he is just being honest, that's all.

And yeah I agree that sometimes being diplomatic is nice, but the fact is that he obviously has minced words his entire career, but I think 8 years are enough to understand what is going on, get pissed off and voice the displeasure that too in a decent way I'd say. I am a little diplomatic myself, I feel really bad putting off anyone because of what I say or do, but it puts me into trouble many times because I am not so firm. But I think I really respect this quality in KSG that he can talk his heart out without fearing of the opinion to be formed. If you cannot respect your own work, your own thoughts and say them aloud then how can anyone else do it for you. I think it takes courage to do something you know you would do alone.

Yup, he came across as churlish and a poor loser. When you lose, its best to accept defeat gracefully. His wife seemed almost embarrassed by his conduct and was trying visibly to prevent him from shooting his mouth off. And who can blame her. For all his acting prowess, Mr. Grover needs a lesson or 2 in humility. He also spoiled it for the actual winner, who is also his colleague and peer. The truly great are always very humble. Because when you have achieved a certain level of excellence, you pretty much have the self-awareness to know how little you know. That's my 2 cents.

I think when he said it...it came off as if he was being self-centered. You have to agree with me on that. If someone who doesnt know KSG at all watches that interview...they might think gee calm down a bit. I didnt know he hadnt gotten an award in 5-6 years or that Indian awards are rigged...so it might seem that way to that person. Just like it seemed tht way to me. So maybe there was an MU here. Makes sense...this world has so many different people and its hard to understand everyone. Its hard to understand the meaning behind spoken words especially if they are strangers.
