I am actually really disappointed with this Forum as a whole. You don't bash other forums and make bashing topics in another forum, if ur favorites didn't get an award. That is just childish and very immature and as a fan following of a particular show throws bad light on this Forum. I am also disappointed in KSG as an actor. I will say the truth, I am not his fan, but atleast I respected his acting talent. But, if one doesn't win an award, you don't start pointing fingers at others, because remember one of those fingers is pointing at u. I completely understand his frustration and anger, even though I wanted Zoya to win as the Fresh New Face. For that category and the Best Actress which went to Sandhya of DABH, I agree it was biased. But, I can also see the other side, maybe those two characters of Sandhya and Pankhuri characters connect with the audience a lot more, as they are simple day to day woman.
I know it is the harsh truth, but from an unbiased point of view, being a fan of 4Lions few shows, I can say that the female lead never gets an award, I don't know the reason but I wish I could find out. I hope that Zoya wins an award next time though, because she completely deserves it, and to be honest she is the best female lead character 4Lions has extremely well characterized compared to all their shows previously!!
Apart, from those 2 categories I thought all the awards were not biased at all. That is coming from someone who isn't a fan of any Indian show apart from the 4Lions. Kunal Karan Kapoor, getting an award was not biased. Even though I have only seen his show a few times, but him getting that award, I was not the least bit disappointed, because he is one actor that is very much underrated and he finally got it, but he also had to wait so long!
My point is this is showbiz, every actor be it male or female have their own talent, their fan following and the people who love and adore them. But, from countless number of actors only 1 gets an award. That certainly doesn't mean that other actors don't have talent or know how to act. In this type of profession, it is best for any actor be it KSG or anyone else to stay clam and patient. Ofcourse, even I get disappointed when I don't win in real life, but hey reality!! This is not the end of the world, there are better opportunities out there for everyone, but taking out anger in front media and other people who are the ones who put you on that height where an actor is now, I think that is stupidity in this showbiz business. For any actor to survive long, you have got to be patient and take things by being sporty. There is competition everywhere today, and so getting so much disheartened for ONE award, is like saying that you are either were so much overconfident or you can't accept that other person got an award.
I would like to give big applaud to Surbhi for keeping her head held high, and my respect has grown a lot more for this woman, even though I know she had been so much disappointed but there wasn't an ounce of anger or sadness on her face. "Take Life as it comes to You", that is what I have learnt from her, being angry about such trivial things only brings more negativity to an actor as well as in your surrounding. I salute u Surbhi, for enjoying urself to the fullest, and being such a humble human being. Kudos to u!
P.S. This is not a bashing post, this is my honest opinion if you want to bash me please go somewhere else!
