"Asad, kya tum Zoya se pyaar karte ho? Usse nikkah karoge? Usse mere ghar ki bahu banoge?"
Asad stares at his mother not knowing what to say.
"Beta, will you marry Zoya?"
Asad closes his eyes and tries to think about what he wants. He knows that Zoya is his complete opposite and he can't stand her antics sometimes, but his heart urges him to say yes.
He's about to say no, but he answers "Yes. Yes, I'll marry Zoya"
If it makes his mom happy to see him married to Zoya, then so be it, but deep inside he knew that was not the only reason. The real reason was that Zoya would be his. His wife.
"Thank you, Asad", weeps Dilshad as she hugs Asad. "I know Zoya will not say no. I will talk to Zoya about this tomorrow and then I'll start the wedding preparations."
"No ammi, I'll talk to her," Asad says wondering how he's going to tell Zoya that she is going to be his wife. Just thinking about Zoya as his wife brought a smile to his face.

Asad goes to his room and closes his door. All he can think about is the conversation that he just had with his ammi. He can't believe he said yes to marriage with Zoya. He decides that he'll take a bath before he goes to sleep to help him think about how to talk to Zoya. He knew that he should be the one to tell Zoya about their marriage. She deserves to hear it from him.
Stepping out of the bathroom, he wonders if today was actually real. Heading towards his bed, he looks out his window and sees Zoya looking up at the sky.
Muttering to himself "Why I can't I stop thinking about Zoya? I'm just imagining her. I have to get her out of my thoughts."
He closes his eyes and opens them thinking that she would disappear when he opened them. But, she's still there and he can't stop staring at her. He walks out his room towards the garden where Zoya is.

Zoya sits down on the bench and looks up at the starry night, questioning Allah about everything that's happening in her life and Asad's.
A slight breeze brings a rich, musky scent towards her and her heart starts beating at a faster rhythm. Closing her eyes, she breaths in Asad's scent and knows exactly where he's standing. The sheer intensity of his stare burns her and she opens her eyes, looking directly at Asad.
Seeing Asad, she can't help but blame herself a little for all the problems she has caused since then and tears begin to streak her face.
"Mr. Kh...Khan" calls out Zoya, her voice cracking as she says his name.
Asad slowly walks towards Zoya never taking his eyes off her and sits besides her. He wipes off a lingering tear.
"Shhh Zoya" whispers Asad. "It's not your fault. None of this is your fault. Don't blame yourself for my family problems."
Asad senses that she still doesn't believe him and turns her face so that she's looking directly at him.
"This is not your fault"
"But" says Zoya.
"You can't blame yourself for how they feel about my mom, me and Najma. Their feelings about us were present before you even came into our lives. You didn't make any of this happen" reassures Asad.
Zoya looks away from Asad and looks down at her engagement ring. She can't help but wonder why did he put the ring on her.
She was just about to ask him if her really wants her to be his fiance when he takes her left hand into his. Zoya turns to look at Asad with questions in her deep, brown eyes.
Asad takes a deep breath and they day when Zoya was at the airport leaving for NY rushes in front of him. He takes another deep breath and knows exactly what to say.
"Zoya. I know you're not the right person for me. You're my complete opposite. You're loud and messy and you're shaiyri is so cheesy. Ever since I met you, I questioned Allah why he brought this musibat into my life. I know why now. You complete me. Without you I was only half alive, not knowing what it meant to live. You've taught me to live. When you were buried in Mangalpur, I went frantic trying to get you out. And when you were leaving all I knew was that I had to stop you. My brain didn't know why, but I heart did - You belong with me. When I put my ring on you, I meant it."
Taking another deep breath, he asks "Zoya, will you be with me forever? Will you marry me?"
Hearing Asad asking her to marry him shocked Zoya. This was what she was yearning to hear from Asad. She searches his eyes to see if this has to do with Dilshad's ultimatum.
Sensing that Zoya's is thinking about Dilshad's ultimatum, he reassures her that his feelings for her are real with his eyes. Zoya sees the intense emotions swimming in Asad's eyes.
"Yes Asad. I will yours forever. We belong together."
