Part 8:
'Shutup!', Humaira breathed as she gaped at the building it in front of her, as the drove towards the garage.
'OH MY GOD!', Zoya exclaimed, clapping her hands together in glee, completely awed looking at it.
'There it is guys', Ayaan revealed, proud of his brother. 'Thats Asad Ahmed Khan's farmhouse. Pretty neat, no?'
'THIS IS AWESOME!', Zoya and Humeira excliamed together, jumping out of the car as soon as Asad parked it.
Ayaan rolled his eyes at the women's excitement, smiling inwardly. He looked over at his brother and saw a smile etched on his face. A different smile. He followed his gaze and realised the reason for that smile. His wife, Mona-oops. Mrs. Asad Ahmed Khan.
He saw how Asad felt proud of himself seeing his wife so happy.
'Told you she'd love it', Ayaan said nudging his brother.
Asad ruffled his brother's hair affectionately before hopping out of the car with him, following the ladies.
Zoya could not believe it. She had never seen a farmhouse so delicately designed. No wonder he was such a successful Industrialist, she thought feelimg proud.
The perfect structure of the house, with the finest design which complimented the style of the whole area. She looked on at the porch, so spacious and wide. She loved such porches. The green grass surrounding the house, with a fence far away marking the boundary.
A big old tree could be seen standing in its glory towards the far left of the house. She admired the beauty of this place.
'Like it?', Asad asked walking towards her, his hands in his pocket, as the wind blew on his face.
'I love it, Asad!', Zoya exclaimed, throwing her hands around his waist, and hugging him tightly.
Asad wrapped his own arms around her and dropped a lingering kiss on the top of her head. She was happy. And this fact made him more than happy for buying this place.
'Bhaijaan', Ayaan called out, from a few feets behind him. 'Check this out!.
Asad and Zoya walked towards the younger couple and a big smile played on their lips as they realised what they wanted to show them.
'Its beautiful isn't it, Baji?', Humeira asked sticking her head between the two men to look over at her sister.
'Its magnificient', Zoya breathed, placing her leg on the fence.
The two couples stood behind the fence, their arms entwined with each orher as they took in the beauty of the sunset. The orange sky that made the whole area look magical, highlighting the beauty of the greenery all around.
Asad and Zoya smiled seeing Ayaan standing behind Humeira, his arms around her stomach, while his chin rested on her shoulder. They looked beautiful watching the sunset.
'One day, when we have kids', Zoya began once again hugging Asad from his waist, resting her head on his hard shoulders as she stood beside him. 'We could bring them here. They would love it here'.
Asad was having a hard time deciding which way to look. The dropping sun at the sky, or the beautiful woman next to him? His heart swelled with love as she spoke of their future while the wind made her hair fly behind her, and the orange glow eminating from the sky creating a soft glown on her face.
'I love you', Asad whispered near her ears, turning hus gaze back at the last hints of the sun for the day.
Zoya just hugged him even tighter as a response.
**
Zoya and Humeira sat on the couch in the lounge, scanning through the pictures in the camera, they had clicked earlier in the day.
'Oh look at this one', Humeira said pointing towards a picture of her and Ayaan. 'My hair look so messy'.
'Quit complaining', Zoya said before she gasped seeing the next picture, which was of hers and Asad's. 'Oh my God! I look so fat here!'
Asad and Ayaan sat on the couch in front of them, sipping a glass of coke each they had brought from 'Haven' for the night.
They both rolled their eyes watching the ladies complaining over photos which seemed perfectly normal to them.
'Oh God!', Humaira shrieked looking at a photo. 'I look like the villain in the 101 Dalmation's movie in this one!'
'You mean Cruella de Vill?', Ayaan asked.
'Yeah yeah whatever', Humeira replied dismissing him with a hand wave.
Asad snickered seeing Ayaan's irritated face.
'Girls, do you want to have something to eat?', Asad asked fishing a sandwitch from the shopping bag.
'Yeah yeah whatever', replied them both, dismissing him off too with just a hand wave.
'Who's laughing now?', Ayaan said, his arms folded across his chest.
'Ladies, we're here too you know!', Asad said getting up from the couch.
'Good good', they replied, absent mindedly, once again waving at him dismissively.
Asad watched them with eyes narrowed for a while, his hands on his waist before reaching for Ayaan's arm and pulling him up with him.
'Lets have some bro fun, tonight', Asad said throwing a glare at the ladies who paid absolutely no attention to him.
Ayaan stood there, his jaws ready to touch the floor. Was his brother actually suggesting they had 'fun'?
'You okay, Bhaijaan?', he asked.
'Shutup and come!', Asad replied dragging him out of the house, and into the field.
**
'I should've known', Ayaan muttered under his breath.
'Oh come on, this is fun!', Asad replied, pulling at the grass from his side.
'Lying on the grass, watching the stars', Ayaan said in a sarcastic dreamy voice, getting up to sit, before he yelled, 'with my BROTHER is fun?'
Asad pulled Ayaan back, so he was lying again.
'I didn't tell you the fun part yet', he said smirking.
'And when exactly are you planning to do that?'
'Its almost 8:30 p.m', Asad replied. 'And the tenant told me that he shuts off the lights at 9'.
'So?', Ayaan replied not getting anywhere near understanding.
'So, I didn' ask him to stop his routine yet', Asad revealed slowly, still smirking.
'Look, I am not playing this 'guess me' game with you right now', Ayaan replied annoyed by the fact that his brother had bought him far away in the field and his wife was ignoring him.
Asad slapped Ayaan on his head, trying to knock some sense into him.
'Our wives are inside the house. Light will go off. They will be scared. They will want us!', Asad spelled out. 'Get it now, pea brain?'
Ayaan stared at his brother's face with an unreadable expression before a slight smile could be seen on it, following a wide grin. He jumped on his brother, to give him a hug.
'You're a genius, bro!', he said hugging his brother.
'Yeah okay', Asad replied trying to push his brother off of him. 'Now please get off of me before I have to kill you'.
And both of them lay on the grass, for the next thirty minutes while the ladies screamed and fanned and complained over their photos inside the house.
'10, 9, 8', Asad said glancing up at his watch as he lay on the grass, under the starlit sky.
'7,6,5', Ayaan continued, excited at their plan.
'4,3,2', Asad continued, stopping at the 2.
'1', both of them said in a loud voice together, enjoying the fresh air, resting their heads over their arms as they lay on the grass, smirking.
