I see your point. The redemption track of Asad is a very far way off from the looks of it. Till now ZOya trusts him implicitly, tomorrow may the turning point when that is broken and she wants to get away.

Ofcourse she being the heroine, she cant go back to NY. Something will have to make her stay. I dont think it is the Ghafoor reveal. (That has more dramatic impact when she is with Asad); so then what? I am using the synopsis as a crutch and just seeing how that fits... They could contrive to make it fit...

Asad-Tannu getting engaged doesn't make sense from any angle..If he doesn't confess to loving Zoe tomorrow, is it compulsory that he has to marry Tannu?😆 If it were someone else, i would have hoped for Dilshad to pick Tannu so that the guy is forced to open his mouth..But yahan pe woh bhi bekaar hai..Asad will never open his mouth😡 Am so tempted to say he deserves it

Which would be equally bad. Up until this point the only reason she even wants to stay is because of Asad. So no Asad=no Zoya. What possible reason can there be for her to want to stay back?

Though thinking of this calmly-

He'll probably indirectly admit that he is in fact engaged and he believes it without actually saying the words that Zoe wants to hear.
