Am not sure which post you are talking about but i get the gist..I hate it when people associate their preconceived notions and some stupid stereotypes to gays and lesbians..I guess its partly the fault of movies as well..The way gays are portrayed in most movies is almost cringe-worthy..Almost like some sort of a comic relief with absolutely no connect with the reality and total lack of sensitivity..And to those who have a problem with gays, i just wanna say mind your own business..Its their life and so long as they don murder or rape, its not your problem..It amazes me how people almost casually fling comments like 'Oh thats so gay" to indicate lack of masculinityđ„± Show some sensitivity people
The mods closed that post and I am glad they did.
I agree hollywood and Dostana are guilty of stereotyping gay people but there are also many shows where it is shown as a natural state for a human to be in. Spartacus on the Starz network in the States for instance is very open about gay relationships. It is so refreshing!
Honestly since when did being gay define your physical capability? I almost wanted to remind that particular poster that Rock Hudson, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer...all very good looking and masculine men were/are gay!!!
Thanks for supporting the post! I really believe we as posters on a forum have a moral obligation to not be bigots...especially when the issue itself is so sensitive. đ
