Can we as posters please be careful with the way we use that word? Can we not use it as an insult?

There is nothing wrong in being gay and using terms like "he looks gay while running" and such is offensive and might offend people who may be gay on this forum.

Just my two cents.

P.S. This is not intended to be a bash post at all!

Hey I never really thought of that. Can we find out how many people are gay on this forum? That will be interesting.

Kudos to you for this thread. It is very much needed. "Gay" and "retarded" are terms that should never be considered as derogatory or be used as insults. & I am not just saying this because a certain member used the term to describe Karan. It is not, like you said, a politically correct term.

Exactly! I hate it when ppl just throw those words around randomly and I hate it more when they use to imply that something is not "manly". Masculine by whose definition?

Anyway to clarify this has nothing to do with the poster who made a statement about Karan but is to do with the fact that we need to be careful about what we say and what we mean to imply by it. It is politically incorrect and in my humble opinion morally too.

Preach it, sista! People need to realize that this forum is very diverse and (Zoya can attest to this) words hurt. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but everyone is also responsible for being respectful towards others.

Now Co-incidence issey kehte hai, i read that post just before this and i had the exact reaction like yours!

Much a needed post.

'I am a Fan of KSG' doesn't count actually at the end.
It was worse than disturbing.
I wished i could use the same adjectives for the person's fav but then alas i wont cause i would rather have a great laugh than to ridicule someone else.

#do i need to say anything more to vent my Asad wala anger more? -___-

NO I am not bashing but that is NOT correct to term too.

language and terminology should be kept in check in the forums as this is a global platform in which we express our self, people from everywhere and anyone check in and such words only ruin the atmosphere and image.

there is nothing wrong in being gay, or straight or macho...
a much needed post, as i just read the other post n i was like What the Heck is this
