Asad is her destiny, because they met, when her Jiju said those words that God give her strength to find her destiny, now did he mean by Abbu or life partner. Could be any, since she ran from her marriage, as her wish to see her dad is still unfullfilled..
But then fate made them keep bumping into each other, Akram saga was first incidence where he was proved wrong and he started seeing things from her POV. Then Mangalpur was, when he first probably felt how golden hearted she is, who wouldnt think twice about herself before helping others...
I feel he caught the coin in air, because after the way God broke her trust in finding her dad alive, he doesnt trust anyone. The coin could have flipped before falling four more feets, we can never say he changed her destiny by lying there..
He stopped her, because he just cant see her go. He loves her for sure, no doubt at this point, but like he said, he is scared to hurt her.
Now until his own internal issues are resolved he will live the life of fear. I feel there will be probably fake marriage with Asad only, one way or other. Ayaan or any guy, might come later. For Zoya marriage is for keeps, how many times they have stressed on it, now he HAS to be destiny..

I can't exactly remember what Anwar said, I have to find out! But yeah you're absolutely right whatever he said forms the basis of Zoya's plight but its pretty ambiguous and can refer to a lot of things. About the coin thing, maybe or maybe not, bearing in mind there's only a 50-50 chance and even if it did say 'heads' then Zoya would have stayed behind whether Asad lied or not. But I agree about what you said at how he is scared to hurt her, especially since they've been in numerous situations where either Zoya has been hurt by other people or unintentionally hurt by Asad himself. I feel as if Asad is someone who doesn't want to form a trust bond with others, I mean he trusts Zoya and when something happens, he gets angry with her or shouts at her without finding out the truth. Take the peanut thing Zoya made, he - without thinking properly - blamed Zoya as she was the one that made it though she didn't even know about his allergy. Like you said, he has his own internal issues that need to be resolved because Asad is just moving back and forwards especially in his relationship with Zoya. Somehow, I feel as if this emerged from the destruction of his and Rashid's relationship and especially being separated from Ayaan. I guess once he resolves this issue, his relationship with Zoya will become strong, but again it determines on whether Zoya marries Ayaan in this time or not. But yeah ultimately HE is her destiny.

I loved the way you emphasised the twists that could occur, by the synopsis, yet how Asad and Zoya remain destined for each other!😊

And agree with you on where he si in terms of his own feelings- he acknowledges the effect she has on him- the khichaav- and blindly believes it can be controlled. After all, that is what he has professed his whole life to his Ammi- 'How can you be blind to the faults of the man who betrayed you? Love is blind!' and Asad refuses to be blind.😊

Thank you =)
You know, that quote you wrote just made me think about something. As of now, Zoya and Asad are in a fake relationship and for all we know, this could become real for Zoya's visa or it could break. Yet if we think back to the synopsis, there are two other people besides Asad and Zoya mentioned, and that is Ayaan and Tanveer. But what we don't know is whether Asad-Tanveer get engaged first or Ayaan-Zoya? IF by any chance it was Asad who broke up the fake engagement only to get engaged with Tanveer first (which would make sense seeing as she is a couple of weeks down her pregnancy), then the whole quote is quite ironic in a way. I don't know whether Gul did it on purpose or not but if we think of it in this angle the quote to Dilshad, "How can you be blind to the faults of the man who betrayed you? Love is blind!" completely foreshadows Asad's possibly actions. By getting engaged to Tanveer, he throws away his obvious feelings for Zoya for another woman, just like Rashid, right? And who knows? Maybe after Tanveer-Asad's engagement, Zoya and Ayaan get engaged somehow?
