Good for him but we as audience are watching him as Asad on the show not Karan... His personal life remains to himself and I don't think it bothers anyone because I doubt that any of us would want to marry him or anything like that... Chill... This is a healthy conversation.. And I don't think that taking off his wedding ring for a few hours for work purposes determines weather a person is faithful or not.. Love, relationships , and personal bonds remains within oneself and personal and a ring doesn't determine or prove you love the person more or less... Let me give you an example fommy life... My dad is a surgeon. When he s doing surgeries or operating on patients, he is not allowed to have a single peice of jewellery on himself .. He even takes off his wedding ring BECAUSE IT'S PART OF HIS JOB... That doesn't mean that my dad doesn't love my mom or vice versa. In fact my parents are the most romantic, pure, and loving couple I have ever seen... I'm not saying that Karan should or should not take his ring off because that decision remains only to him.. But I'm just saying that it would be better for the character of Asad who he plays as a PART OF HIS JOB... And a actors job is to be as convincing as possible when they are onscreen... If something suddenly pushes you back to reality when your watching them perform and play a character then it loses impact which is not good... When I'm watching himas Asad onscreen, a unmarried, ruthless man, I don't wanna think about his personal life or the fact that he is not Asad but Karan because then the flavor of the character gets lost...

Beautifully explained! Thank you :) surgeons take their wedding ring off becuase they have to do a good job, actors should do the same.. a ring does not show love of faithfullness... on screen he is Asad. And lol the jealousy thing cracked me up hahha not everyone wants to marry him lol

See you I think your misunderstanding... Karan does wear his own SUITS because the production house found it better matches his character because they don't have the money to afford billions of suits.. Trust me, I know from previous experience.. Their old hero from their previous show literally had two suits which he wore every single time so the production house decided to have more variety by asking Karan to wear his own suits but they are giving him the ASAD look.. You can't really put clothing and jewellry in the same context can you? I mean look, first of all this is a Muslim background show which is a religion and a culture within itself where men don't wear jewellry.. I'm Muslim so I know... Men in Islam are not allowed to wear jewellry of any sort except their wedding rings at the most... And men in general don't wear rings often in reality on a daily basis and if they do, they usually wear more then one like a rockstar or for fashion purposes. Asad on the hand is a traditional character .. And him just wearing one ring on the ring finger does take away from the character... See, even if his suits are his, he has been told by the production house that he should wear them because it will add to his character and give him the look it requires... But his ring on the thee hand is is own choice and doesn't go with his character at all so it takes away from it... Again, clothing and jewellry cannot be put into the same context.. Let me give you an example... If Surbhi was married in real life and she decided to wear her Magalsutra, Sindoor, and marital Bangles on sets and while playing Zoya onscreen, wouldn't that take away from the character????? Yes, it would because first of all those are not Islamic representations, second of all, it will bring you back to reality and her character won't be as impactfull ... Usually television characters look the way they are and their personalities are.. While some things can add to their characters others can take away

I don't want to go into personal lives of any actor here. What I'm saying is that just think of KSG's ring as Asads ring. I really don't want to go into the details of what is allowed/disallowed in Islam, as I don't know enough about the religion. But I can defiantly say that QH is not the place to learn about Islam, QH is just a show. So if you see Asad wearing a ring, it should not really affect you. There are always inconsistencies in indian soaps, this is just another, rather meaningless one.

But still it is still so prominent even one wants to think it is Asad's ring it is impossible to ignore the fact it is his wedding ring. Even if one wants to believe it is Asad's ring casually it is so big it reminds almost everyone on the screen he is married even then ,it's only Karan's choice to wear or not. Just because of that ring many people are feeling he is out of his character ASAD

Flavour ..essence of the ch gets lost due to his weddin' ring ? I don't see tht happenin' anytime !!...Everytime an Asya luv scene is enacted or pics posted ...I see fair amount of fangirlin' happinin' !!! Never saw anyone gettin' distracted by his weddin' ring ...rather jst the opp happns ...fangirls r engrossed abt how tightly he's hugged her ..or how mch luv is visible in his eyes ...so on so forth ! Thts wat an actor hs to do ...make viewers believe .. he's totally in luv with her & I find KSG doin' it perfectly on screen !! So wat's this complain abt his weddin' ring cumin' frm !!! KSG likes to use his own personal things ...the suits r his own.. so is the watch & so is his weddin' ring !!! Suddenly a person posts a topic abt whether Indian men wears their weddin' ring in their rght hand ...ppl strted 'ving issues regardin' his weddin' ring !!! Weird !

See, while that reason is enough for you some of us think a little differently.. Especially me.. I don't know if it's a birth defect or I got hit on the head or what but I am not a easy person to convince... I read a lot and I'm very analytic so I try to look for logic in everything... The reason you gave to me is not convincing to me or rather not logical enough to distract me from the drawback from his character when I see that ring...When I'm watching him onscreen, he is Asad and if something withdraws me from that aura of his character at a crucial moment, it is hard to buildup again and it's not the same impact as I would like it o be... But clearly we disagree and have difference of opinions so lets just leave it at that.. For you, thinking that the ring belongs to Asad is enough but for me, I require a more logical explanation to why Asad would wear a ring when he is so religious and tradition .. It doesn't fit for me.. Anyways, it's not something I would lose my sleep over or what not... It's just that his ring does get distracting at times...

Here in Europe everybody and I mean everyone wears their wedding rings on their left hand.

Is this a new trend? Or does it depend on the individuals preferences?

As I said this is a question asked out of pure curiosity and is not meant to be offensive in any way.

So anyone who can come up with a reason or an explanation?

because in hindu... mens wear thier weddind ring in right hand and womens in left..

See that again is not a good enough argument for me, saying Asad is religious and all. I mean we saw holi celebrations, did we not. The whole idea that his ring produces character inconsistencies, is for me, forgive me for using this word again, meaningless. Never has there been a consistent character in indian soaps, that's just the way it is. The same applies here.

PS. If I have a reply for this I won't reply back for a few days, I'm not being rude, but I've spent enough time here. If anyone really wants to continue this discussion then they can PM me and I'll get back to, if that's what you really want. Again not being rude, just out of time. And no hard feelings😊

Strange argument going on 😆😆😆

@ TM Most Indian boys wear their wedding ring on their right hand & girls on their left. Me & my husband never compromise regarding our wedding ring. We never remove them no matter what. I think its an individuals personal wish & we must respect it.

Firstly the jealousy thing was so off topic :S so I'll ignore that and not comment on it.

Coming to the ring I don't understand why it's such a issue anyway?! LOL the fact that KSG has shifted the ring from his left hand to his right for shooting instead of just taking it off clearly shows that it means a lot to him and he prefers not taking it off! Many people don't even notice the ring and why view as Karan's ring anyway?! You can just view it as a part of Asad's appearance. It's KSG's personal choice and he obviously chooses to not take it off so I guess you can't really do anything about it other than to ignore the the fact that he's wearing it :)

PS there's a huge difference between a surgeon and an actor's professions, they're poles apart! It's COMPULSORY for a surgeon to take off every single piece of jewellery because of SAFTEY reasons. A surgeon's jewellery can get in the way or actually cause harm to the patient if left in place during a surgical procedure, whereas an actor's ring is harmless lol so I don't really think that you can compare the two!

See that's where, for me, your argument becomes meaningless. You say the ring does not go with Asads character, but why can't he wear a ring. Just think of it as a ring that belongs to Asad, not KSG. Just like Asad wears clothes that infact belong to KSG, not the production house or Zee, we see no one saying that his wardrobe takes away from Asads character, so why a ring?

Because this ring its clearly a wedding ring, my husband just has the same lol, simple !! Please try to understand what we ar saying. If only i was english i will try to explain you more but im french and im already making a lot of effort to speak but my english is very limited !! I just want to say it would be better if actors left their personal stuff during their work hours.
Ya Asad maybe wears Karan clothes but we would not be aware of it without interviews, but this ring is too visible, ad out of the character u can't deny it.
