As we have seen throughout the show, Asad's opinion about his father has always been the worst (not that I blame him for it). He has always believed that his Abbu had deserted them for money, cheated on his Ammi with another woman(which is true), never ever cared or loved his Ammi and now after the recent Dilshad getting shot and gudiya factory raaz,He has even begun to believe that his father would even go to the lenghts of killing Dilshad, his first wife.
These are all Asad's worst fears which in his mind have become his reality. But we all know this reality is not exactly true. Rashid had never left his family for wealth but for their protection(they have tried to push that feeble reason down out throat so many times), he had always cared and loved Dilshad apparently and he would have never tried to kill his first wife or harm his children.(emotional and mental harm is another thing altogether)
However isn't it ironic how Zoya who in Asad's opinion can never understand his pain or the depth of his hatred for his father is going to have to go through living her own version of Asad's worst fears regarding his Abbu? The fears about his Abbu's past and present decision is exactly what Zoya's past is filled with.
If mamujaan is Zoya's abbu then he has done all the things that Asad always thought Rashid has done to them. Zoya's mom was Mamu-jaan's first love ir wife but he cheated on her/left her and married Razia, he never loved or cared for her(Who calls his wife "woh aurat" and lets her be killed then tries to cover it up?) and in the end, He has actually played a huge hand in the murder and coverup of Zoya's ammi's death.
From the way I see it,
Mamu- Rashid (The men who started it all due to their mistakes)
Zoya's Ammi- Dilshad (The first love/women who were left with their child by their husband)
Razia- Shireen (Kinda explains Razia's lil soft corner for Shireen, maybe she understands being the other woman and wants Shireen to be more like her by poisoning her mind against Dilshad)
Humeira- Ayaan(The younger siblings who dont have much of a clue about what is happening)
And finally, Zoya-Asad (The first daughter/son who are going to be exposed to the truth of their past and are going to handle the burden of this truth)
The difference here is that all these characters, no matter how same their position is, are very very different in personality and thoughts. Asad's reality is not what he thinks at all whereas Zoya has got all his worst fears packed into one hell of a past. She has got the worst side of this complicated relationship mess. We always see her being understanding and comforting regarding Asad's relationship with his father but what will she do when she realises her own reality with her Abbu is much worse.
And what will Asad do when he realises his reality is nowhere close to what he thought and Zoya has been made to live his worst fears?
Though their stories are similar, Asad has been given a less painful fate because his Abbu is not as dark shaded as he thinks whereas Zoya the enternal optimist has a more painful fate where she will be forced to accept the fact her Abbu is as dark shaded as she never thought him to be. She has gotten the evil and heartless father, the witch of a step mother who destoryed her Ammi's life and her only hope of family is Humeira who I hope doesnt turn negative.
Asad and Zoya are very different in their approach to life and its problems, we have already seen how Asad would deal with this situation (get revenge, stand for what is right and not be bent by his or others emotions) but now its Zoyas turn, Zoya who is ruled by her heart and emotions when it concerns her past.
Will she be twisted by the emotions of her Abbu and her step sister to forgive them and live the family life she always desired or will she, like Asad take a stand and do what is, in the end,right no matter who(Humeira) gets hurt in the process?

Made a few changes according to today's episode after seeing Mamu remembering his daughter.
I still think he is heartless because he knew that Razia had killed his first love and he let her take his daughter away too just so his present wouldnt be ruined by his past.
He may be redeemed in the futute but i cant see how Zoya can ever forgive him.
